The Josh Green Appreciation Thread

Joshua Benjamin Green was picked in the COVID 2020 NBA draft, immediately his pick angered a lot of people, when he was picked:
1. TCU star Desmond Bane, a beloved player on the local college basketball fans, was available.
2. Tyrese Maxey, Kentucky guard and local kid was available
3. Siddiq Bey, big shooting forward and someone who was viewed as NBA ready player was available.
Green was a very raw product, that needed development, but Mavericks had a LOT of rotation players missing due to COVID, and found himself thrown into a situation where he needed to contribute, the other 2 local guys he was picked ahead of, have become stars, this increase the level of contempt towards him.
RC gone, Kidd arrived and he started giving him chances, and he started showing some flashes, but in the PO he again looked not ready.
His 3rd, The team was in turmoil after losing Brunson, Josh Green answered the call whenever he got the chance, he was a demon on defense, applying full court pressure, hitting open shots, showed his magnificent court vision and passing ability, but his galring problem was shaky confidence and not the highest BB IQ, Kidd tried to tinker with the rotation and killed his momentum, he had an inconsistent 4th season, sometimes great, sometimes bad, but didn't stand out.
In the middle of his 3rd season, we did a mini redraft of 2020 and though he's top 10 player from that draft.
Always looked like he had great potential, but always fell short, great energy and speed, but sometimes he's faster than his processing speed, always the 1st on the fast break, sometimes miscalculates whether to stop and slow down or finish strong, great shooting % but hesitant.
I felt he's much better fit in Charlotte and I think they got a steal.
Fare thee well Aussie prince, you will be missed, and best of luck.
