RS 24/25 - Mavs @ Suns (Sat, 10:00 PM EST)

Interesting schedule for the Suns. Played the Clippers in overtime and won, tonight they are playing the Lakers and tomorrow host the Mavs.
Suns fans seemed to have the same complaints from last year about their team, before ending up with the W.

They're not prepared for the new Luka, who runs back on defense.

It's always nice to see father Luka lectures his son on the court.
I think washed Klay is due to have a bad game on Saturday.
Mavs win this one by 3-7 points.

Classic trap game - rested, against a significantly inferior team coming off a b2b. Let's see if they can bring the focus this early in the season already.

Interested who is going to defend Luka to start the game. If PHX uses the same lineup they been using, I assume that will be Booker. Expecting Daddy Luka to come out in spanking mode.

Now we can get a glimpse of how defense looks like with Luka-Klay-Kyrie defending KD-Booker-Beal. Can the Mavs frontcourt dominate a beefy Nurkic?
The backcourt defense is an unresolved issue. Against SAS, there's no problem. But against the PHX, it could be a huge one.

Of course, Phoenix has tough time to defend the Mavs as well. If it is a shoot-out for both team, I see don't like the prospect as a contender. The Mavs is still very much a black horse. OKC and BOS are still the team to beat. The Mavs is not really weak but has to fix tons of problems before becoming anything.

They were Finalists, that's at least something. Tons of problems? Which?

We have two centers and Kidd decides to guard Nurkic with Kleber. I understand spacing the floor, but one center doesn’t kill spacing that much.

Frustrating half. So much fouls and Nurkic bullied Maxi quite a bit.
Need Gafford to show up and Lively to stay out of foul trouble.

Listening to the verbal diarrhea of the suns broadcasters is worse than the actual game.

The Mavs have missed a ton of wide open looks and missed a few right at the rim. They make half those and they’re winning this game right now.

In theory not a horrible performance but we could've played another 10 min down 6 and would've managed to keep missing wide open looks or turning it over. Not sure I've ever seen so many missed layups either.

Team is playing soft. Too much settling, not enough aggressive drives.
Also PJs missed 3s have been backbreaking. So many of his misses have been at important times and wide open.

Frustrating game, team is still in offseason mode, I hope they snap out of it fast, west is tough and seeding will be a nightmare.

But those minutes with Maxi diarrhea Kleber at the C??? Nurkic looked like Hakeem hahahahahaha
OMG Kidd, you are still the same stupid moron.
Marshall is trash, i hope it's just because he needs time. But he can't do anything.
Hardy is ready to trade.
PJ still can't shoot. That's a big problem.
Bad game at all, Klay missed some easy shots but he is a great upgrade. No doubt.
Booker is a pussy and KD an old ass, lose against them is a shame but with Kidd everything is possible.
