The worse thing in this start of the season is that the 3 new guys played well/great lately... So, or the last Finals were a miracle or someone has to tell us what **** happens here.

He's 100% wrong about 1. I think him and daoneandonly went from hating Green to Klay (for some dumb reason).

Anyway... What he means with nr2. Teams watched how Celtics guarded Mavs and are now replicating the same formula. You see way less lobs from Luka to centers because he's not being doubled anymore. In order to change that, he would need to be in tip top shape so that he could drive more easily and pull more defenders to himself. That's why fans are blaming 90% of Mavs problems on him right now.

Then we also have Hospital Mavs early on the menu. They actually started the season semi-ok but injuries quickly derailed them.

Next problem are some players not performing the way we expected from them. Maxi along with his injuries is basically useless now. I'm counting days (not weeks) until he's on injury list again.
Hardy bamboozled us. We thought he'll take the next step but he's still erratic and inconsistent as he was a rookie. I would honestly rather have Green back for Hardy. At least he played hard and with 110% energy every game. OMax is the same, they're unplayable vs top teams.
Then you have Dinwiddie who is not an NBA player anymore, yet he gets playing time like he's 6th man or something.
Gafford is also not playing with the same intensity as he was last year, Lively has been injured, Exum is injured, Grimes has barely played even though he deserved way more playtime...

The only positives were Naji, to some extend Lively, PJ (on defense), Kyrie and even though he's been a bit inconsistent on offense, Klay has been a nice addition over THJ. Though he would be best in 6th man role. But anyway, impact wise and even last game, Klay has been good.

And then who do we have on top of the mountain to connect all these discombobulated factors? A coach who can't create a single offensive scheme to get one of the best shooters of all time open looks.

I believe Mavs fans on Realgm are guilty for Mavs losing, impossible to win with all that negativity.

Heh, i understand the frustrations but we'll see what happens in the next few games. If they lose all of them, then we can start to panic a bit.

My frustration with klay has multiple layers

1. He shouldn't start, he can't accept that he's a 6th mannow at best and not the all star he was pre injuries

2. So many accounts of him sulking in GS about themnot paying him, even though they gave him a max after severe injuries years before.

3. His D has been as bad as feared. This team went from a top defensive team to complete trash on that end. His shooting isn't all that great either. Whenever he drives, pump fakes, or adjusts, it's a miss.

4. Mentioned this before, tired of this team's mistake of overpaying SG/SF. How many years of this crap? Finley, Matthews,THJ,Green, and now Klay

I just can immagine this forum if that DJJ 0/7 were still in Mavs uniform

Djj was pretty reliable on D no matter what his shooting was. He was perfectly fine with a bench role and never made 15 mil +

I agree that he shouldn't be starting but did you check the graphics that i posted? It's relative to the league and Klay on defense has been above average. It goes hand in hand with other impact stats.
I mean even when you watch games, i never thought "Wow Klay is horrible on defense". You can also see him trying to chase down his guys if he gets behind, etc.. He doesn't simply give up. He's also getting less money than THJ and in today's NBA, that's not a huge contract, specially when we know CAP is going up each year. Other than him not accepting 6th man role, i have absolutely no clue why would anyone hate on Klay. And we know Kidd is not even using him right.

Klay is the least of our problems. Far the best offensive rating, the best of his career. Not great but solid 3-pts shooting. For haters, no he's defended totally differently than DJJ or Josh and provides additional spacing. His D is what we should expect from him. People ****... on him is really ridiculous. Luka and Kyrie deserve a lot more hate than Klay, especially if we take their salary in consideration.

The hater is on it again.

1. Sounds more like a kidd/nico problem then a klay problem.
2. Pretty normal when u feel betrayed by the loved ones.
3. A top 10 defense is now counted as complete trash? And tbh, are comparing 10 games in vs how last seasons team looked in the end? Looked a lot more trash at this time last year, and we had djj then.
4.That I agree on. However, i dont think klay is overpayed by much if at all.

Klay at 15M is still a huge bargain in my opinion...

They have to drastically improve in all areas.
