Ugh, the Pelicans almost feel like a ghost team. Seems like they have never had an healthy version of their team and it must stuck for their fans being early season and already going through this.

The Mavs found their new identity, where Luka should come off the bench according to Archx.

He should be benched and locked in a gym for the next 6 months. You got it right Dirk :D

There is 0 sense for Luka playing tonight, that probably means he will.

This is a typical trap game and perfect timing for Mavs to be complacent after 2 Ws in a row.

Pelicans win by 9 points.

To be fair, did you notice that ever since Finley took his beer away everything went downhill for him? :D

This is gonna sound crazy but Luka reminds me of myself on the court...the craftiness.. I think Luka should really get in his best shape because I do not think he gets it yet...he has the chance to be the guy in this league.. Sometimes I think Luka is still shocked with how easy it has been for him in the NBA. Its time for him to take it serious now.

Mavs were pretty lucky to get 3 games against injured opponents, when they needed the most. (Btw. OKC has lost against Wemby-less Spurs).

Not much to say about this game, my only question is, is someone afraid of Naji's shooting? He made a 3 only in 2 games this season, last 7 games ago, and he's mostly not even close, when he shoots. Shot looks broken and he's already afraid of shooting 3s. You can get away with that in RS but not in playoffs.

Moslty with PJ or Maxi at the 4 who are not so great threat for 3... It's a problem for sure.

Naji might be on to something :D

Least Points Per Possession Given Up When Guarding ISOs In The 2024-25 NBA Regular Season (Min. 15 Total ISO Possessions Guarded) :

1. Fred VanVleet — 0.35
2. Tobias Harris — 0.44
3. Luka Doncic — 0.58
4. Dyson Daniels — 0.61
5. Ziaire Williams — 0.63
6. Neemias Queta — 0.65
7. Jayson Tatum — 0.69
8. Daniel Gafford — 0.71
9. Pascal Siakam — 0.72
10. Nickeil Alexander-Walker — 0.73

Luka accidentally stumbled into his absolute best performance of the season. Both ends.

Yea Pels are decimated with injuries, but in this stacked West, every win we can get and loss we can give a rival counts. This is the type of game we all expected to see from these very Mavs. I just wish they were more consistent.

I think Hardy and Klay are trying to do too much, more than their skillset allows, and its up to Kidd to fix that and play to their strengths

So are we officially recovered from the 4 consecutive losses?

You are not wrong. But in my opinion, Klay should do less while Hardy is fine. Hardy is young, he is still developing and I really feel he should be given certain amount of freedom to shine. Like in last year's playoffs, he was doing well and showing surprises and sparkles.
