NBA CUP GAME.Both teams are 1-1. Warriors play the Pelicans.
Jokic has been missing games and likely will want to dodge Dwight Powell as usual.

I knew that Mavs FO don't give a damn poo poo about this stupid participation award, which I am ok with.
My only concern is our overall record and standing in the west...
How is the Rockets so good this season? It must be the coach, right?

Shocker
Has Luka missed more games in 6 years than Dirk did in 20?

Like I said, Luka playing against Pelicans was as stupid as it gets.

You might check how many players is injured/not playing at the start of the season. I doubt very much that wrist injury has something to do with conditioning, but I might be wrong.

It's always something with him; you can set your (wrist)watch to it. Unlike Dirk, who lived in the practice facility/gym, Luka just has other priorities, and it shows in his conditioning and availability.

Agree.
Too much pornography and too little gym for Luka... So the wrists hurt.

I wonder which priorities have hurt his wrist?

I hope the team can evolve during these four games without Luka. All of them need to figure things out.

Even without Luka, we should be a better team than Denver if Jokic is not playing.

Luka and Dirk are on different levels when it comes to dicipline and training. I do not think Luka will get to Dirk's level of dicipline (I would gladly like to be proven wrong in time) however I think this is affected by not having vets around him coming into the league. I say it every year, it's hard to build around a player like Luka. Dirk was a nobody entering the league. Luka was a top pick. So Dirk had to go through the longer route. Luka is from a younger generation and has youtube videos of his passes but no ring yet. Time will tell if he is able to get his ring. Kyrie and Klay are both up there in age. When the time comes that they are washed, Luka fans will complain about Mavs front office not giving him all star teammates again.

It just sucks that Kyrie, and some role players, completely burned out vs historically great team in Celtics, Mavs would have another ring by now. No one expected them to drop the ball on offense but it happened.

Yes, time always tells. Even the great ones, like MJ and LeBron needed a lot of time and the right teammates. MJ wasn't always Goat. Logic is kinda weird here. First full season with all star teammate and Finals. I would say that Luka and Kyrie together rather overachieved than underachieved. Rating this season after 15 games is kinda laughable. But we have seen the same story last year in RS and after bad start in playoffs, fat/lazy Luka, until he wasn't fat anymore. You have Luka fans here and you have fans, who apparently enjoy more when things for Luka don't look great. I wonder which are more normal?
But I agree wrist injuries are unacceptable for well conditioned athletes. It just can't happen.

You're wrong, Luka should have averaged 50/20/20, when playing great D and they would have won easily, don't forget that he had All star teammate.

Actually most of us our fans of the letters on the front of a jersey, not the back just because the athlete is from the same country.
We get it, he's your idol, you'll never criticize him. But he's mid twenties and always hurt, always complaining. Our previous Euro superstar didn't have these issues. He was a superstar professional

Luka being hurt again is frustrating but let's hope this gives an opportunity for others to step up and hopefully make us better long term.
Like if Jokic doesn't play and DEN starts Saric again, I'd love to see the team go to Lively in the post on the 1st possession. Immediately exert our size and try empowering Lively to be more then just a roll man and dirty work guy.

Agree... If role players didn't shoot 17% from 3s and Kyrie didn't **** the bed in the Finals we could had a shot.
I don't even mention Kidd because it's useless of course.
This year we are improved a lot the roster so i trust in Luka and the guys. I like our chances.
I can't believe what i read on internet about Luka after what he did in last years for the Mavs.
He averages 66,66666 games per season, how many superstars play more games than him? Make a count.
That's insane.No respect for him.
But time tells like Bob said and but sure i will never bet against Luka Doncic.
