Standings are probably going to be even more important since everyone will want to avoid OKC as much as possible. Would be awesome if Mavs stop losing games at this point and aim for a top 4 result. Can't believe even freaking Lakers are ahead now lol.

There are always 5 men on the court.
However i don't care too much about opponents right now, we have a lot of problems.
Health is the first. Kidd the second.

Yeah fully agree. Health and Kidd both are huge issues. These games when you miss a lot of important players (including both go2 stars), Kidd could be a lot smarter and develop young guys. Or simply stop forcing offense where role players are tasked to play like MVP superstars, it never worked for any team.
For example. Maxi played 16 minutes for no reason at all, then Dinwiddie 23 mins just doing cardio, same with Hardy who's been terrible for most of the season. Even though last night he got hot later on, he was still -19 in 25 mins.
B.Williams and even OMax started showing a ton of potential but first guy played only 20 mins and the other 7 mins. Gortman was good in limited minutes anytime he played but barely got 4 mins.
So yeah, these things start to pile up the further you are in season and then when you need depth and youth, you simply don't have it because you miss out on opportunities like these. OKC developed young players the right way, Mavs are doing it the wrong way and it shows.
But problem is, Kidd is riding high on playoff result and is being saved by injuries, so no matter how angry we get, there is no way he gets fired this season. Unless Mavs go 5-20 with a fully healthy roster, only then i could see him being let go.

We are on pace for 4-20... And after Memphis game maybe for 3-18.
I don't think Luka injury can justify that record and save Kidd ass. No way. I'm pretty sure about it.

I believe this board is by default too pessimistic, just remember last playoffs, when everyone just gave up on fat/lazy/injured Luka in round 1. And we finished in Finals. Now is the same story, yes Mavs are losing games, but those games are away games against good teams, when Luka was first time out, Mavs have played against bad teams, against OKC without all 3 front court players and against struggling Denver. Nba schedule is very uneven by months, we're just in the most difficult period. If Luka doesn't miss much more than 1 month, Mavs will be in position to fight for home court advantage, but to be honest seed 7 and seed 2 might be the best. You just don't want to be 8th, 4th or 5th. But in the end you will very likely need to beat OKC without home court advantage anyway. So there's not much difference where you end. Luka not playing many games might be big advantage for Mavs.

At this point, I wonder if their keeping Kyrie out to evaluate what they have before the trade deadline. Jimmy Bulter would be perfect for this team. He's basically what we're missing. Defense and toughness. Another leader that will be respected by Kyrie and Luka. Jimmy just seems to expense for what we would have to give up.
