Klay is top 5th in the league on catch&shoot PPG and top5 catch&shoot 3pt %'s (in over 7 attempts). Kidd maybe re-discovered a hot water in the last match. I wonder if they'll continue with the same strategy tonight.

I hope he does well otherwise i will look very foolish in front of Daoneandonly

Haha

They key is catch and shoot. When he tries to do more, he's a turnover machine and not very accurate. The Wiz game was a true reflection of Klay; can be a lethal shooter, but just as lethal to his own team when he has the ball in his hands to do more than shoot.

Why I still say he'd be the quintessential 6th man

Yeah Wizz pressured him in the 2nd half, doubled a lot. He had nice assists to Gafford and basically entire Wizz defense gravitated towards him. So that's not something to underestimate. But i am also willing to admit anyone can look good vs Kuzma lol.

If there's things we can take as a positives from all these injuries, it's that 1) PJ can do a lot more then just spot up and drive. Its not always pretty but he can put the ball in the basket. It kind of reminds me of Marion except the shot is aethetically nicer and 2) Gafford plays MUCH better when his leash is longer and he's more involved. I'm not advocating for this but I would not be surprised if even when Lively comes back, Gaff continues to start.

Good W. We needed it and we got it.

A lot of ups and downs but it's ok, we miss Luka a lot in some moments of the game where we have to down the pace and play half court basketball.

Gafford MVP again. Terrific stretch of games.
Don't trade him please.

PJ all around game, he made it all. Some stupid TOs in the first half but it's ok, he tried something news... Unfortunately his ballhandling is not great.

Klay shoots looked good again. Strange. But it's hard to pass someone eye test. Maybe a pair of eyeglasses? I don't know.

Grimes solid, great stint in the 3rd.

I liked a lot the lineup at the end of the game, PJ small ball C with 2 good shooters, an athletic defender and Kyrie. Finally Kidd turn on the brain.

Dinwiddie is ok when he pass the ball or penetrate, but it's good to see him out in the end. -15 plus/Minus. Ouch.

No minutes for the new C.

O-max so so.

Great post.

PJ has to avoid some stupid TOs but he has skills, his problem is the constancy. But he is what he is.
And i take him for sure.

Gaff is like 99% center in the league, if you involve him on the offensive end he will give up something on the other half court.
For this Luka is so important, a couple of p&r at the start of the game can change Gaff game.

Oh yes, like i said before i prefer PJ as small ball C over Kleber all day.

Glad to not see Maxi on the court tonight. Great.

Mavs had good offensive game, but they will need to do something with D, if they want to win against better opponents. Their D in last month is disastrous.

Who could have though without Luka?
He may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don't let that fool you. He really is an idiot.

I am happy for the W; much needed in the loaded West. Still think the team needs a trade to shore up some weak spots. But please stop sacrificing picks for it

Man Zion is a menace and could be so dominant if he took his conditioning and leadership seriously. It could be something we've never seen before in the Association. Imagine how that must feel like as a fanbase?

Oh wait.......
