Strange times.

Meanwhile, Anthony Davis is out for a few more games it seems.

Kyrie won't say anything besides, how he liked to play with Luka and wishing him best luck in LA. He will welcome AD too. His real press conference will be in the summer.

Heh yeah. It will be a must watch. Unfiltered Kyrie in free agency will be Nico's worst nightmare.

I will never pay LP again. Never.

Just streaming. Free streaming.

I know NBA don't need my money but i don't care, i prefer put them in the river over them.

I hope a lot of fans do the same, and Mavs attendance will drop a lot.
We are a family, it's like they killed our son.

I shared multiple long rants in private circles.

I.e, this was from today.

It's kind of hard not to believe that malicious or not so malicious collusion happened here and that the NBA - as a league - takes a big hit in its credibility. I know this reads as a big overreaction and very "cringe", but it's true. How can we take a league seriously?

Shouldn't the league at least investigate? Or it's totally cool if two Gms just collude with each other like this when 99.99999999999% of the NBA community thinks this is one of the dumbest and strangest trades in history?

What is up with this LA franchise always being on the side receiving "gifts"?

Randomly browsing the internet today and still see more and more quotes. Literally near impossible to find one valid opinion justifying what happened...

Nuggets Michael Porter Jr. still can't wrap his head around the Luka Doncic trade. "I still feel like there is something, some facts that are going to come out over time. I can't really comprehend how that makes sense to be honest."

Anthony Edwards about the Luka trade: "At 25 they traded, probably, the best scorer in the NBA at 25. And he didn't know about it, so, it's a lot more digging somebody gotta do to find out why he got traded, because you don't just trade him at 25, he just went to the finals."

Josh Hart on the Luka trade: "Gotta give credit to Rob Pelinka, man. Highway robbery."

[NBA TV] Jalen Rose: "Rob Pelinka might get a statue now."

Just plastering stuff here "to cope". I have to close a bunch of tabs again.

I'm a fan since I remember, but like... at the end of the day... random clown owners own the franchise - a business. Some random GM can literally rip the heart out of the fans and each day just gets worse with quotes and "theories". Meanwhile, the franchise in LA gets the guy you drafted, that had been there 7 years, global icon, p historic numbers?

Let's be honest, the league is not fun if we have to convince ourselves that it's not ridiculous we care.

Not sure at what stage of the grief process I am at. I am genuinely almost more upset that so many hundreds of thousands of people are hurt by this, Mavs fans, new/now former Mavs fans, other team fans who are sorry... but obviously, the Mavs fans. It's such a big investment to be a fan and this is one instance that really rips your soul.

The team is forever tarnished with this dumb thing promoted by some random clown GM. Things are so bad, that even if the Mavs are competitive, hardly anyone will get full enjoyment because of the travesty that just happened --- as fans, you just got basically spat in the face and walked over. Rip.

Luka didn't do anything bad either, so Mavs fans love him still. Yet... for their mental health, they need things to not go very well in LA, so literally root hard for him/them to fail. It's going to be such a miserable experience for many Mavs fans --- you can legitimetely make a case it will take so many years to remove the stench out of this thing and this has a chance of being so atrocious that you will never forget and you'll always be the team* that traded Luka lol. I guess some may just cheer for Luka and hope he wins it all, although for others, the pain will just increase multiple times if Luka is very successful there.

In any case, Luka with the Mavs was much more than just wins and titles. It was the face and soul of the franchise and the obvious path would be to become the all time leader in almost every category and get a statue next to Dirk. These clowns really just torpedo that for a very small return without looking for the best return possible. Literally just colluded with one GM. Who by chance happens to be the Lakers.

Anyway, ranting just to leave an history trace given the surreal events. For the 12th time in the last 3 days, I will try to close all tabs and move on.

*it's not a "team", it's a business franchise... bought by random casino clowns. I resent Mark Cuban for not ensuring he'd sell it to people who kind of "got it" that it's a fans team. I mourn for every mavs fan, the workers, the tv guys. What a complete farce. And yes, I know it's silly, but the NBA definitely needs to investigate this --- I'd love to get to read the texts exchanged. Maybe ESPN can get them in 15 years on the 30 for 30.

Whoa.. very nicely put everything in perspective or better said you summed it up similar to how i see it. It will be hard to digest everything that went on... Our media and fans still have a hard time understanding what happened. Luka also looked like a ghost in that presser.

But it is what it is. I am very eager to see this new team healthy and what can they do. But problem (for me personally) is even if they win a ring, it will still have a strange feeling to it. What happens in 2 or 3 years? Or 5 years, etc... How will this team be able to attract new superstar with almost no draft capital and aging current stars.

Luckily for Nico, they somehow lucked into best center lineup in the league and with Kyrie on the team, anything is possible in the 4th Q. So this team could go deep in the playoffs. I'm just not sure AD's body will be strong enough to get them all the way to the ring. Which basically now is a MUST.

It's a clearly collision, too easy say Nico is stupid and Pelinka joked him.

It's a shame for the league and in the internet era you can't cover this ****.
Even the players talked this time.

@townbrad
Statement from Mavs in response to reports the franchise has offered refunds of up to $2,000 to fans who have cancelled season tickets.

“We value every season ticket member relationship and reps are available to take calls from members with any concerns or questions.”

Great. Boycott this circus and his clowns.
All NBA fans in the world have to go against what happened.

Few days ago I would say no chance, now, who knows? idiot's buddy wants to play on his position.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
