RS 25/26 - Mavs vs Wizards (Oct. 24, 8:30 EST)

An opportunity to try to shake off that Wewsdsamdsandsbyama nightmare.
The Wiz are all-in on development, with a skeleton crew of vets mentoring lottery picks. Their D leaked 120+ PPG last year, and the opener exposed more leaks. However, it looks like they had more positives than the Mavs after that first game, as Kyshawn George looks like a star and Tre Johnson looks like a hit from
Wizards blog.

The Wizard have young talent that need to step up and perform. Mavs are favored to win by 10 points.
Let's get a win

Mavs should win this otherwise people will have a collective mental breakdown after 2 games

Not win, scoring 100 points should be enough.

Kidd is rolling out the big lineup again. If they have any strategy to stay with this, we need to dominate tonight.

Odds are pretty good that bad D and high pace Wizards are ideal to prove Kidd is right. For 1 game.

Kidd doesn't like D-Lo, it's pretty clear... It was a desperated move by a desperated GM. I told you guys.
Anyway i'm ok with a season of Coop at the point, but in a ranking situation... In theory we are in better position to win than last year (cit. Harrison).

Anyone with a functioning brain was aware that DLo would be a bad signing. Few people here were happy with him as a filler before Kyrie comes back, but that's going to be a loooong time. Coop can learn and experience playing point forward, no problem, but he needs way better handles and that's not going to magically happen over night.

I said in another topic, Coop at the point is great for him and his development. That's sure.
But not good for Mavs wins. That's sure too.

Coop didn't play point in game #1, Kidd has just decided to not play with Pg.

In the Princeton offense whoever dribbles the ball up and makes the first pass would be considered the PG.

Exactly...Lively could be called the PG tonight and it would be considered successful if we win.

I'd like to see BWill get the keys to drive this offense starting out the season. Not the perfect playmaking PG, but certainly someone who would draw a lot of attention from the defense.

He was great entire 2nd half of last season... Don't understand what happened between then and now. Kidd is usually good at developing guards but suddenly looks like B.Will is back to the doghouse. They didn't even consider using him instead they were forcing to resign Exum, which was probably another useless move because he's constantly injured.

The frontcourt has showed up on offense but the backcourt needs too. Let's go guards....wakeup
