Fazekas is doing OK with 16.3 ppg 8.4 rpg and 53% shooting.
Ager is not doing quite as good with a 15.7 ppg average but only 42% shooting overall.

Fazekas with 31 and 8 last game.
Ager 0 for 7 with 2 pts.

Looks like Fazekas is doing OK in Tulsa. Ager is shooting poorly from 2 pt range but OK from 3 pt range. They should both be dominating more than they are but at least Faz is coming around as he has average 24 ppg and 7 rpg the last 3 games.

Ager sucks... Faz might be alright, I wouldnt be surprised to see him up on the roster for a few games if Juwan gets "injured"

One thing is really sure - Maurice Ager should be cut if something does happen before the deadline.

Nick Fazekas is doing fine so far. But I remember right, AJ draft him for his 75% from the perimeter to spread the floor. He doesn't fit up to expectation on this one.

We have got physical players, strong body althetes.
Erick Dampier's a very good rebounder
Desagana Diop's an excellent blocker.
Brandon Bass's a foul drawing machine who can stay with guards.

Nick should develop something those 3 cannot offer to hit the rotation.
Consistency. Smart defense. 3PT%. Foul shots. Low turnovers.

Supposedly Ager is going to be recalled and JJ sent to the D-league.

I really really think we should cut Ager. He has shown very limited potential in both the D-league and in his minutes here. However, Avery seems to like his energy (which really is just out of control, the guy has very low basketball IQ, something we do not need on the court)

I really wish JJ could get some PT, he has good court vision.

no point is cutting him now. Have to pay the salary. Could possibly include in a trade to match up salaries. He is not Michael Young, U of H great cut before the season of his rook year. But he is close.

Nick Fazekas, Tulsa 66ers - On assignment from the Dallas Mavericks, Fazekas was the 34th overall pick in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft. At 6-11, Fazekas has been getting it done for the Tulsa 66ers in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 16.3 points and 8.4 boards in 13 games while playing only 29.3 minutes per contest. He is coming off a career-high 31 points on 15-21 shooting in 34 minutes on December 30 against Austin. Fazekas is one of 22 NBA players who have been assigned to the D-League this season, and will be able to play in the All-Star Game if he is still on assignment to Tulsa on February 16.

Respert: "Nick has great size at the forward position and his ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter allows him to spread the floor for drives to the basket and create even better scoring opportunities. Nick has to improve his strength to handle some of the physical play of the NBA game but his shooting is a great asset when teamed with a great pick and roll guard."

It sounds like the Mavs would like to see Fazekas play in the D-League All-Star game.

1. They are calling up Ager instead of him, when clearly he is playing better than Ager.

2. They are sending JJ Barea down in place of Ager. Is the the "pick and roll point guard" that was mentioned in that article?

Hey quick question.... Do you guys still have the rights to Reyshawn Terry? And have you heard anything about how he is doing in Spain or where ever he is....sorry if this is not the thread to ask this but I thought keeping those guys was one of the reasons he was sent to the European league.

The Mavs still own his rights and he is currently playing in the Greek League for TT Arris. He is playing decent though he is not dominating the league or anything.

He is averaging 10.5 ppg on 52.2% 2-pt shooting. His 3-pt shooting is poor at 26.7%. He is averaging 4.8 rpg. He is doing that while playing 22 minutes per game.

His only 30 minute game was recently when he scored 21 points and he had 14 rebounds. For some reason his minutes seem very inconsistent. In 10 games he has had 3 games where he played 16 minutes or less.

I still have high hopes for this guy. He has incredible athleticism and he is a very good defender. I still believe that if he can become a consistent shooting threat that he has a place in the NBA and hopefully on the Mavericks.

Thx....I found the site....I really hoped he would have been part of the Mavs. I'm from Winston-Salem NC but live in Charlotte now and thought Josh Howard and Stackhouse could have helped him out a lot. Hopes he gets his chance...good luck to your team...

Where's Mo Ager now? He's not listed on Tulsa roster. And he's not officially recalled by the team. What has happened to him? Is he suspended, injuried, or traded?

Just not good enough to dress. Ager & Barea was in suit & tie at the Detroit game.

Nice!! Now those are the type of numbers that excite me. And yes I know it is just D-League but it is certainly a good sign that he is really starting to put things together.
