Did the 10 day contract rule just kick in?

I have seen lots of cut occurring of no-name players. Is it 10 day time? Should mavs go get anyone to fill the A Johnson roster spot?

the date upon which non-guaranteed contract become guaranteed just passed so lots of bottom roster cash savings were exercised

The 10-day rule always existed. But the deadline is near after which all full-season contracts become fully guaranteed for the entire balance of the season.
The Mavs don't have any empty roster spots at this time.
