If we're going to trade, trade for a SG!

All this Kidd talk is ridiculous. Yes, we all are pretty much in consensus that keeping Harris is what we need to do regardless.

Our weak link positions are SG and C. SG more than C in my opinion.

Our SG's:

Eddie Jones
Trenton Hassell
Mo Ager

We need an upgrade!

now go find DAL a good SG who is available and won't cost too much to acquire...

Costs less than Kidd will.

Move Howard to SG

Harris - Two way player
Howard - Two way player
Artest - Two way player
Dirk - Offense
Dampier - Defense

Let's try to avoid moving Howard to SG for a head case like Artest...

I really don't think paying 27 mil over the next 3 years for a 32 yo streaky SG (Mobley) is worth the trade. I'd rather play Hassell as he has been doing pretty well.

I wouldn't mind (from the Dallas in/out POV) Hassell & Stackhouse for Carter, or Terry for Maggette, Terry for Artest, Terry & Howard for Kobe, but unless it's a significant upgrade, I just assume stay with our current roster.

To this point I thought you were talking about Stackhouse.

Kidd would probably be the de facto SG here, and he's better as a SG than anybody else available.

shouldn't a shooting guard be able to shoot?

I don't min a Harris/Kidd backcourt, but not Kidd in lieu of Harris.

I don't think you want to get into these kinds of generalizations with this particular debate.

I'm all for getting a 2 but I've given up hope that it will happen. The only guy I potentially see being traded is Ager, and that's if some team is dumb enough to take him off our hands.
