Jason Terry
6-2 PG from Arizona

So the recent rumors are that NJ is hesitant to move Kidd and would prefer to move Carter. He has four years of big money left. Jet has 4 yrs left but stack only has two more and Diop is a FA. NJ gets some vet depth to still try and compete and some cap relief in 2 yrs.

Mavs get a legit 2 guard...nuff said.

Magloire really doesn't get that much pt and he would fit the Mavs need as a backup C until they make a decision in the offseason.

I think the Mavs really should make a splash and if that means throwing in a pick and cash so be it. The window is almost closed...

If the Nets would turn around and waive/buyout Stack and he comes back to Dallas then I'm all for that deal.

My only hesitation is which Carter would come to Dallas? Motivated Vinsanity or this guy who has been playing this season.

I, personally, would not offer anything better than 28 mil salary relief of the guarantted portion of his salary. Hassell + Stackhouse for Carter. I may throw in a 1st, but I would not assume more salary by offering expirings, I would not include Jason Terry and would not include a Diop/Magloire swap. They can have Ager if they want.

Vince is a shadow of his Toronto self... I'd take him over Terry OR Stack... But not Terry AND Stack

Actually, we are not taking salary. Though I don't think Carter's style, I would take him over JET + Stack any day.

I won't part with Diop as well. Maybe Juwan Howard or Nick Fazekas with a pick for DA. We would need a 1 while JET leaves.

I wonder if it is acceptable from NJN point of view.

I don't want anything to do with Vince Carter at this time. The only way I would even sit down to listen is if New Jersey is willing to give Dallas two future first rounders for taking Carters contract off their hands.
