Get KIDD via a different route?

Let say Portland acquired Kidd in a sepatate deal with NJ. Would you guys trade Harris and Stack to POR for Kidd and James Jones?
KVH would be added to fill in required $$$ anmount differential.
You get Kidd AND a great 3 pt threat for him to pass to and open it up more for the other guys.
Note: I believe Kidd can be traded with another player "again" if the trade is done withing 48 hrs.
Any interest? Note, S Rodriguez perhaps could perhaps be added if desired.

not that different than the 3way proposals we've seen...
DAL still doesn't do it if the cost is Harris IMHO

From what I've seen this proposal costs you less and you get more back? no?

Consensus has it that there is no deal if Harris is involved. I agree with the picture man...

If NJ wants Ben Wallace, Bulls can get involved.
Bulls would not want Harris in return.
NJ was after Shaq, & Ben W is a much cheaper version - and he still plays 40+ minutes in every game.
Hassel + Diop + Stackhouse to Chicago
Wallace + Smith to NJ
Kidd to Dallas
Of course, if NJ doesnt want Wallace then the deal fails.

I cannot see why NJ would want Wallace if they are to tear down. I like this version for dal the most.

Dallas should just wait until the last minute of the TDL and offer KVH, Hassell, Ager, and Barea for Kidd.

No... If Harris has to be involved to get Kidd here, you can keep him, we dont need a trade that bad.

I was listening to Marc Stein on ESPN radio yesterday and he said its not Devin that the Mavs refuse to trade, its Brandon Bass or Diop.
I think they refuse to trade Bass because of his potential to turn into a tremendous inside force. Something the Mavs never had until he showed.
Diop because he's the Duncanator.

I take things from Stien with a grain of salt, but the way that it was released was that Dallas was iffy on Harris for Kidd and adding more "real value" (hence, not Stack) was just too much.
