Acquisitions made by West foes present centers with bigger job

The Mavericks' last trip to the Northeast started in Boston, where the Mavericks fumbled away a game. Afterward, coach Avery Johnson had this to say about his centers:

In the next three games, Erick Dampier averaged nearly nine rebounds and seven points. When he went out with an ankle injury

I hope avery sees this story and plays diop some more. I think if he would start Diop and bring Damp in as a sub that diop would recover to early season form.

Shaq sucks now, Damp and Diop have no more trouble than they did last month.

Gasol is a PF not a center and Dirk always schools him so not really worried there either. If LA gives him the ball then they are not giving it to Kobe as much so that trade hurts them in a way as well.

Kobe doesn't need the ball. He's best when other's create for him and he finishes and with Pau getting some of the attention, teams can't double team him anymore and teams will never double team him when Bynum comes back.
