who are you going to trade now?

if Stack and Ager and Diop and George are all gone
assuming you're keeping Dirk and Kidd and Howard and more than likely Damp

so you've got Barea and JET and Hassell and Jones and Malik Allen and Fazekas and Juwan to trade

so unless it is a KVH for Mike Miller I don't see MEM taking any of those pieces...

and Eddy Curry is yuck

Honestly, I think we are one Terry for Maggette trade away from being one of the best teams in the league. Kidd creating opportunities for Maggette, Dirk, and Josh Howard would be fun to watch.

Too bad you traded away your 1st rounders as well, I think You could've had Ricky Davis from Miami for a resigned KVH and picks.

My thought would be, let's get in the record book again. Oldest team to suit up!

Trade Fazekas for Mutombo. JJB and Bass for Cassell. Who else? Let's just make this the oldest team on the planet!

We don't have to have starters in these roles. Just quality backups that can come off the bench and contribute.
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

why does Donald Sterling say "yes" today to a trade he nixed this summer?
and DAL doesn't have 1st picks to send until 2012...

I dont think that the Clippers will want Terry. Nor will Memphis want Terry, or a combo of Hassell/Jones/Ju.Howard. Miller has positive value and the Sterling wont want Terry's contract.

We would need a 3rd team to take Terry (and that 3rd team would not want/need Miller/Maggette).

I would have agreed before the trade.
Now we need JET and should try to get a young backup PG (Kyle Lowery) to go with our old starting PG. We still should look at upgrading the 2, but as bad as we needed a SG and PG before, JET is the best compliment available to Kidd. We need to address the SG via different route NOW.
10:20 (pm, 6/29/06) The Mavs take Maurice Ager at No. 28... Ager walks up to the stage in a triple-breasted, oversized beige suit, goes to shake hands with Stern and immediately gets whistled for a foul on Dwyane Wade.

Consider: Dampier & Hassel & KVH (or other filler) for Wallace & Griffin & Joe Smith

Dampier & Hassel for Wallace & griffin works in trade checker. KVH would be signed to whatever it takes for Smith.

Terry, Jones for Maggette, Cassell would be my ideal follow-up (or just pick up Cassell if they buy him out).

A Kidd-Maggette backcourt can't shoot to save its life but without Harris we have absolutely no one that can get to the rim consistently.

One trade that works is:

Terry/Hassell

for

Kurt Thomas and Earl Watson

Do you think it would be a go? Terry is from Seattle, mavs get a backup PG.

getting kidd in dallas means the mavs are seriously committed to winning now. that being said, we probably have 2-3 seasons more for a championship...

i personally feel that cuban and donnie arent done dealing... if not before the deadline, maybe in the offseason...

let's see pour depleted lineup... we just lost our backup center and our sixth man...

C- dampier / ? / fazekas
PF- dirk / bass
SF- howard / hassell
SG- jones / terry
PG kidd / barea

im seriously going to consider trading josh and or terry to indy for jermaine oneal and a couple of wngmen if needed be... i mean, if cuban were to put everything on the line for kidd on winning now, might as well commit on that and put the right pieces together....

it makes me wonder why we traded diop and made our center rotation thin, now that the western teams just added height in shaq and gasol...
