Dallas, New Jersey, and Memphis
This trade was approved by the trade checker. I know its way too much but its still better than that stuff yesterday.
Dallas:
Outgoing - Terry, Stackhouse, Diop, Jones, Ager, Bass, Howard, Van Horn (sign and trade), 2008 1st rounder, 2010 1st rounder, 2009 2nd rounder, cash
Incoming - Kidd (NJ), Wright (NJ), draft rights to M. Gasol (MEM)
New Jersey:
Outgoing - Kidd, Magloire, Nachbar, Wright, S. Williams
Incoming - Terry (DAL), Stackhouse (DAL), Diop (DAL), Jones (DAL), Ager (DAL), Ju. Howard (DAL), Miller (MEM), Lowry (MEM), 2008 1st rounder (DAL), 2010 1st rounder (DAL), 2009 2nd rounder (DAL), cash
Memphis:
Outgoing - Miller, Lowry, draft rights to M. Gasol
Incoming - Bass (DAL), Magloire (NJ), Nachbar (NJ), S. Williams (NJ)
Then we get Stackhouse off waivers 30 days later and fill the roster with free agents. I'M BEING SERIOUS DON'T LOCK THIS THREAD.

IBTL! This is just the dumbest trade I have seen yet. NJ does not want Terry's or Jones' contracts.
Sources say New Jersey would balk at any attempt by Dallas to substitute George with anyone other than Van Horn.
The Nets have no interest in replacing him with veteran swingman Eddie Jones and rookie Nick Fazekas or Jones and veteran forward Juwan Howard because the contracts belonging to Jones and Fazekas don't expire at season's end like George's, slicing into the long-term payroll savings New Jersey seeks as part of its post-Kidd rebuilding package.

This charming trade leaves mavs with this lineup
Kidd/Barea
Hassell/Wright
Howard/George
Dirk
Damp/Faz
Try again, and attempt to leave the mavs with some players. Give us some reasons why mavs trade 7 for 2? Why does NJ want all of those long contracts to rebuild? I will not lock for now.

I was about to go off on this trade till I found out it was Juwan, not Josh.
We keep our big 3 and add Kidd. I'm all for it!

You forgot Devin Harris, I kept him. Say we keep Jones. Would that kill the trade?

My main problems with the rumored trade is 1) NJ gets 10 yrs younger at PG, 2) They save about 4 mil this year (not counting the Wright deal with the AJ trade exception) 3) Diop is nothing but a "filler" to them, 4) We add cash to the deal, 5) Cuban is throwing around the draft pickas as iff that is automatic.
Now, if we were to upgrade our team by allowing salary relief, I can see the cash and the picks. But a lateral-at-best move (talent wise) should not require picks and cash...that means Harris for Kidd; no Diop or picks.
Go going back to your initial trade ideal,
If we did a deal like this, it would be much better:
Terry to Miami
Stack to Indiana
Kidd to Dallas
Bass (only talent portion), J. Williams (expiring), Daniels (1 more yr) two 1sts, rights to any of our euro players, cash to New Jersey
That saves them money, gets a good young, cash and picks that is much more palatable.

So basically we give up some more players and get Marc Gasol, who has yet to play in the NBA? No.
