No Stackhouse return to Mavs

The chances of Jason Kidd wearing a Dallas Mavericks uniform this season are shrinking by the day.

First, Devean George refused to consent to the trade to New Jersey. Now, a league source says the NBA has informed Dallas that if Jerry Stackhouse is traded and subsequently waived by the New Jersey Nets, he can not be re-signed by the Mavericks.

"The league has taken Stackhouse out of the deal," the source said. "They said, 'He can be in the trade, but he can't go back to Dallas after that."'

That is fu**ing (Please Use More Appropriate Word)! I hate David Stern so much... Another example of the league screwing Dallas... This deal is officially dead.

I said this would happen. Stern and Company hate Cuban so much that they will do anything they can to screw him which of course screws the Mav fans.

I think this means that Cuban will not even do the deal. It was one thing when we were giving up Harris, Diop, filler and a couple of picks. If we were likely to get Stackhouse back then it was more acceptable but if we have to include Stack with Harris and Diop then I don't think he will do it.

F*** Devin George
F*** Stackhouse for opening his mouth
F*** David Stern for once again screwing the Mavericks

So now we will have a team of guys who will have thier feelings hurt because we were trying to trade them.

Maybe not, if we can get rid of Hassell and Van Horn's contract in place of Stack's, then it's better for us. This forces Jersey to take Hassell, a player they did not want to begin with. We don't want Hassell, so it works for us.

Kidd/Terry/Barea
Jones/Stack/Wright
Josh Howard/George
Dirk/Bass/Juwan Howard
Damp/Allen/Fazekas

This keeps our bench as Terry, Stack, George, and Bass. That's a formidable bench.

Have you all thought George, Stack and the FO did this to strong arm Jersey? Oh, that's hilarious it that was true. Dangle the trade, obliterate with George saying no and Stack saying too much. This is classic mind games in order to get what you want for less than you intended to give. Watch the fact that one of the 1st rounders also won't be given. Why? It had to do with Stackhouse being bought out and waived and returning to the Mavs. The 2010 will stay with us. Mark that.

This is **** stupid. So now based on this BS ruling i dont ever want to see this sort of backroom deal ever happen again. Yet, we all know, if the Lakers or Celtics or Knicks or somebody does this, they'll get away with it. I mean its obvious what is going on when Stackhouse would get cut, and this happens every year, what the **** is Stern trying to prove. What a lame dictator **** that guy is. always has to be involved in something.

Nice theory. If only I had that kind of faith in our FO...

The Wright deal won't happen if George stays , has already been mentioned before . This deal would have only gone through so Dallas can has the Minimum players of 13 . This Roster has 14 .

Maybe if Cuban had told Stack to keep his mouth shut then this wouldn't have happened. I put ALL the blame on Cuban. He is so stubbron in EVERY way that EVERYTHING is blowing up in his face.

The ONE deal he makes since Nellie left and look how it's turning out. And he should have done this trade 2 years ago but he didn't out of stubbornness.

Ok, here's the part I don't get. If Stack is blocked out of the trade for Kidd(which to say is dead at this point). That means he's still a Mav right now. Would the Mavs be force to trade him considering what's fallin down right now?

That may be true Serpo, but also know that without Stack in the trade to be bought out and where he would return to us, one of those 1st rounders would not be given as well.

So the trade becomes
Harris
Hassell
Van Horn contract
Diop
Ager
2008 1st rounder
$3 million

for

Kidd
Allen/or another Center (depending on size of Van Horn contract)

Don't blame Stern for this. His hand was forced by Stackhouse. If jerry would of kept his mouth shut then the deal would of went through if they got the whole devean thing figured out. This is Cuban's fault too. He should learn that his scheister business deals doesn't fly in the NBA as they do in his other business ventures.

Finally Stern does Cuban a favor.

This is great news. Now Devin won't be traded for Kidd.

I would now offer Terry + Hassell+ KVH, +2 #1s and cash.

Let them choke on that or live with a completely disruptive Kidd for the rest of the year.

Another reason why players need to take the professional path and zip their trap.

nope
KVH just has to get a bigger payday...

doing nothing now is more dangerous than making a revised trade

This happened 10 minutes. I can't even have 10 minutes to be annoyed with the situation?
