I doubt they give up Dampier if they are unwilling to give up Stack.

I also doubt NJ takes Dampier.

well if NJ was going to buy out stackhouses contract, why not do it for Dampier???

My thoughts exactly. In fact, why couldn't they do that with any player? Send Terry in place of Stack and if we don't get him back...who cares?

Because he makes a lot more money than Stackhouse. NJ would have to pay more to buy him out. It would hurt Dallas if we didn't have Dampier for 30 days more than it would hurt to be without Stack. Then what if the league decides this was another wink-wink deal and he can't come back?

My thoughts exactly. In fact, why couldn't they do that with any player? Send Terry in place of Stack and if we don't get him back...who cares?

Yeah, let's just throw away our players for nothing.
