One Last Move Before the Deadline

if ever the kidd trade were to push thru, we would be entering the playoffs really thin up front, and with the west getting bigger, it would be hard to think how dampier and dirk would fare against the suns, lakers and the spurs...

i was thinking about big men who could be candidates for this move before the deadline because with dallas getting kidd, dallas should be going all out to win a title probably within the next 3 seasons...

i came up with this one..

dallas gives- terry, stack, juwan, malik allen, antoine wright, (cash)
dallas gets- artest, brad miller

washington gives- jamison
washington gets- terry, stack, juwan, (cash)

sacramento gives- brad miller, artest
sacramento gets- jamison, malik allen, antoine wright

mavs...
C- dampier / miller
PF- dirk / bass
SF- artest / george
SG- howard / jones
PG-kidd / barea

for washington..
it came out in the media a couple of months ago that jamison said that he feels that this would be his final season with the wizards, and being a free agent after this season, it could be possible that he wouldnt be re-signed and he could definitely walk leaving washington with nothing....

for sacramento..
after "giving" bibby to the hawks, it's pretty clear that they are going up the rebuilding path... and i have assembled the biggest expiring contract combo that they could get for artest and brad miller... two big contracts that would stand in the way for rebuilding and a cheap young in antoine wright..

for dallas..
dallas goes all out after getting kidd to maximize their chances for a title shot... changes shouldnt stop with getting kidd as the team would most probably lack some depth especially up front.. brad miller gives a new dimension to our center rotation, he plays very different from dampier and could produce some points in the center position... a howard-artest wing man combo would definitely take care of our big guard problems, kidd could just concentrate on making plays...

something this big might not get done before the deadline, but i really hope something would get done to bolster our lineup coz i really dont feel comfortable with what's gonna be left after the kidd deal...

Washington and Dallas would never do those trades... You honsetly think having Miller and J-Ho on the same team is a good idea? Not to mention neither of them seem to be very good locker room guys.

The Kings have absolutely ZERO incentive to do that trade. Artest is an expiring by himself (not a "big contract standing in the way of rebuilding") and Miller (with his play this year) is easily worth expiring contracts and some kind of sweetener all by himself. This gives the Kings nothing BUT expiring contracts. It's beyond laughable for them to even consider it.

I thought new players traded have to be on the team for a month or so to be traded.

Our bench = ewwie after this trade.

I think we have to hope that Fazekas steps in in Diop's absense. The only problem is he may get waived fot the KVH part of the S&T.

i can't imagine they'd trade Diop and not have some sort of center or big PF targeted to fill his role. I mean they know they'd need size. I'd like to think they have a plan on addressing this and have been waiting for the Kidd portion to go through first.
