If Dallas goes on to win a title in the next 2 or 3 years with Kidd at the point, people will never give Nowitzki his credit no that we have JKidd. They will just say Kidd is what won it and give him all the praise.
This saddens me because Dirk is my all-time favorite athlete and dont wanna see him labeld as an all-time choker when he is such a great basketball player, teammate and person.
Does JKidd trade mean Dirks legacy is sealed?

As long as Dirk performs well and doesn't go 2-11 in an elimination game, he will get his due credit. As well as JKidd. Obvioulsy IF (big if) we win, Kidd will probably be praised for bringing mental toughness and leadership.
Nevertheless, no matter who plays along Dirk, as long as Dirk plays very well like he is capable of (like he did in the playoffs in 06 against Spurs and Suns), then he will get his due. Unfortunately until then, Dirk will have negative labels, deserved or not.

I see it the same way. finally dirk gets that second superstar he really never ever had before (back in the days neither dirk nor nash were "superstars"). if the mavs actually get it done this year or the next, I think dirk still gets the most credit because he will be the man for dallas. kidd only makes life easier for everybody and will get his credit too.

can't wait to watch them play together, BUT did you ever think Dirk would get more credit if he played defense? I mean he seems to get the same credit as Carmelo or Nash who both play about the same level of defense.
the Pick and pop will be deadly though. It will be great to see what Kidd can do this year when he is actually trying, and not just trying to get as many triple doubles as possible..

^Fully agree.
Kidd's not a scorer. Since this trade makes Dirk's job easier, it oddly puts even more pressure for Dirk to score more in the clutch.
Look for his percentages to go through the roof, especially from 3.
I'm surprised you guys couldn't squeeze Darrell Armstrong out of the Nets though. He'd have been huge in the playoffs.

This is true, much like how Kidd got a lot of the praise for Team USA's gold.
