Kidd to wear #2

Post#1 » by SaintofKillers » Tue Feb 19, 2008 4:38 pm

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/allstar20 ... rap-080218

On the ride back, when James asked Kidd what number Kidd would wear in Dallas (prompting Nowitzki's head to pop up three rows away) Kidd joyfully speculated. Since his current No. 5 belongs to Josh Howard and the 32 he wore in Phoenix is worn by Brandon Bass (whom everyone agreed is too big and strong for Kidd to punk for his jersey), Kidd said he'd go for No. 14. One plus four equals five. It also would be the reverse of Nowitzki's 41. Then LeBron demonstrated a surprising bit of knowledge. Isn't 14 Dirk's number on the German national team, he asked Nowitzki. Dirk confirmed it was. How many Americans knew that?

That's cool.
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

How did LBJ know that?

I thought he would go with #2, but #14 will be following in the great footsteps of Robert Pack, another NJ to dal trade. Kidd better do more than that cornerstone Pack!

Gosh, I remember how he was called a cornerstone. They never said a cornerstone of what exactly. I don't think they meant the team though LOL!

How many cornerstones did Nellie proclaim? Were the Mavs an Octagon or something LOL!?

Forgot about eddie being #14. He had good hustle and brought his lunch pail to work with his great enthusiasm for the game.

Najera, from the University of Oklahoma! Used to eat Chris Mihm for breakfast despite the extreme height difference.

robert pack actually is the reason dirk is wearing 41, cause pack wore 14 when dirk was drafted by the mavs in 98.

lbj played against dirk with their respective national teams in cologne in 2004 in cologne, so he i guess thats where he knew it from. damn, can't believe it's been that long since then. that was maybe my most spontaneous trip ever as i decided to go to that game to cologne, which is about 400 miles away after being out and drunk the whole night before and slept at a friend's house who went there. my sister then picked me up and we dropped him off at the train station. well, i then decided to come wit him as someone wasn't able and they so had a ticket for me. 2 day trip without fresh clothes.

You're right.

"2" backwards is "5". That means I can still wear my old Kidd Mavericks jersey. I just have to flip it inside out.
