I knew it was a possibility of happening but I don't support it. Nick has always been someone I have liked. I know he started slow, but some here expected too much out of him from the start, and it was obvious he was starting to move towards the right direction.

I see no reason why he would return. A few teams should be willing to sign him.

Y'all know if we had drafted Big Baby Davis instead of Fazekas, we would have cut Juwan Howard.

Think about that gentlemen...

How could they waive Fazekas over Juwan? It doesnt matter I guess, cause neither one will make any sort of impact here, but I would think since Faz is younger and makes less money he would be safe.

I sure hope our FO at least tried shopping Fazekas for a 2nd round pick 1st. At least that way, his salary would not cound against the cap.

Assuming they shopped him and no one picked him up, he may come back with Diop's departure.

And yes, he has to clear waivers first.

We need to develop a younger big man to groom as a replacement for aging vets like Dampier. He's 6'11" and 240 or so and can hit 3's why would you not want a player like that? He has shown marked improvement which indicates a level of professionalism that many lack. I realize D league is nothing like the NBA but if he gets there and he's a dominant 20/10 then there is the better than even chance he can step in at this level and do the same thing with further development. Maybe he doesn't but my gosh he never even got the chance when Dampier was out. It's as if Avery is not even wanting to see him excel because we might like him and then it would be harder for him to get rid of him. Sorry but there just are not a lot of bigs with that kind of ability and here we had one and they let him go in favor of an old washed up has been like juwan Howard. Again the mental blunders on this team are adding up.

Waivers
NBA teams can release a player to the waiver wire, where he can stay for 48 hours (during the regular season). While he is on waivers, other teams may claim him, for his existing salary. If he is not claimed, he is said to have "cleared waivers," and is treated like any free agent, able to sign with any team.

Amen!!!

I've never seen fans so excited about 2nd round draft picks and undrafted FAs like this team's.

Who cares about guys like Faz and Ager? They are better off with other teams.

Juwan's contract is a better piece to trade for a player that we might actually be able to use this season.

I'd rather pick up Justin Williams than get Fazekas back, even though I did like Nick.
