Dallas Mavericks to tinker with backcourt combinations

The Mavericks are going to use the next few games to see which combination works best in the backcourt.
The one constant will be Jason Kidd.
His partner is to be determined

I wonder if these players can handle not knowing their role until they get to the arena. It would seem to be very unstable, but they are all veterans. I was for this trade, but I am starting to have a bad feeling about where it takes us given the talent and picks that were given up.

My thoughts on the trade hinges on how the FO addresses the backup center position. If nothing is done to address that obvious need, I would say the trade for Kidd made no sense because it addressed one weakness but made us vulnerable in another. If that is the case, we just gave our future away with no improvement whatsoever for the present.

What do you see as the role for Antoine Wright ?

Benchwarmer/trash time player.
Anyway, hopefully Terry steps it up and earns a spot as the "2 guard".

Right now it's his i think. He played really well alongside Kidd. I really didn't like him when he had to handle the point before the trade. It was just a disgrace to watch him playing at the 1. But he looks great together with Kidd as a full-time 2.
