Kidd is old and he sucks.

By the way, im watching the game as covered by the Twolves broadcast on the League Pass. Did they show a guy holding a sign that said "Dirk, I am your brother" on the DFW broadcast? It was pretty funny.

Did you see his line? 3 boards away from a strong triple-double! Ah, but to be as old as Kidd and suck as much as he does, he must surely hate it. I know we can't stand a PG who dishes out 17 dimes !

And Devin said that its hard to get 15 assists in our system.......

Kidd's done it now twice in back to back games, albeit against sucky teams such as Memphis and Minnesota - but still back to back 15+ assists games! Put that in your speed racer and smoke it

And the Twolves broadcasters were going on and on about Kidd's abilities, leadership, floor smarts, effectiveness as compared to Devin's. Now, I liked Devin for what he was, but come on, this is Jason Fookign Kidd. Look what a real passer can do.

"Our" system = Avery's system.

Kidd is running Kidd's system.

Totally different.

If Kidd was running Avery's system, he would get half those assists.

read the post above yours to explain why it is "Kidd's system" and why there was never a "Devin's system".

we still play too much iso at times. I would say Kidd's system would be faster and more free-flowing but guys are not used to his passes yet.

His passing and court vision has always been unparalled. We will see how his defense and scoring does against the elite PGs...

I would, except the post above mine makes no "Fookign" sense as Devin was never allowed to have his system with Avery as the head coach. It was either play Avery's way or Jason Terry goes in....or Barea goes in.

Oh, yeah, and for the record, your quote "Twolves broadcasters were going on and on about Kidd's abilities, leadership, floor smarts, effectiveness as compared to Devin's" is complete BS as they NEVER "compared" Kidd to Harris. Stop spitting out lies!

Devin was never allowed to have his system because the coach, a former pg himself, didn't think he could handle it. damn, seriously, go become a Nets fan.

And did you happen to catch the post-game? No, obviously not. There they talked about Kidd and what he brings and what was lacking before. So STFU

Well, if it took Kidd to get AJ to start getting rid of his f*king iso systems, then the trade's a positive already

and to think all you guys were so emo after the deal happened. I can't remember a single Mavs fan besides me who embraced the deal

Still can't say I'm pumped about the deal, but when it happened I wasn't nearly as upset about it as the rest of the posters. I'm more "accepting" it for now.

I'll start getting pumped if J-Ho starts playing better with Kidd (I think he will), and especially if we beat the Spurs on thursday.

You want to know why?

Okay, 1st: I never in my post that Kidd running Kidd's system was bad. Like ss_maverick said, "if it took Kidd to get AJ to start getting rid of his f*king iso systems, then the trade's a positive already." That's for damn sure! Avery is an over-possessive coach that needed to have a player that can tell him to STFU!

2nd: They could talk on and on about what great qualities Kidd has, but that still does not mean that Devin didn't have them (or could have had them if Avery didn't F him up) and they never compared Kidd to Harris. That simpley meant that Avery's system had to go and now its going away with Kidd!

3rd: Just because I have pointed where you are lying and wanted to clarify the truth, does not mean I have to route for ANY east coast team, so why don't you make me become a Nets fan or STFU yourself!

Hey 2007, chill out buddy. It's okay man. Sometimes in life we all need a few STFU to get to the point we are trying to convey. That's what it seems has happened. You have every right to be a Harris fan without being a Nets fan and that's that. You still da man!

He had no right to say STFU!

My post and this thread had NOTHING to do with me being a Harris fan. My original post was in response to Colombiano972 implying that 15+ assist in Avery's system was the same thing as 15+ assists in Kidd's system then from_ro_to_dirk thinks I was somehow trying to put Kidd down and I wasn't.

If you think about it, have I said anything negative about Kidd since he first dressed in a #2 jersey? No, I haven't! But everyone remembers my pre-#2 jersey talk and now thinks everything I say about Kidd is somehow hating on Kidd and fail to read what is actually stated.

So whenever Devin finally suits up in NJ, should we expect to see some 15 assist games in short order? And if we don't what will the next excuse in an endless line of Devin excuses be?

Avery tried over and over again to hand more control over to Devin, and Devin showed him over and over again that he couldn't handle it.

Why do you think Dirk was begging the Mavs to get this deal done? Why wasn't he begging Avery to give Devin more control? Simple, he knew Devin couldn't get it done and Kidd could.

The team still has flaws, especially on the defensive end, but after just a few games it seems all but impossible to objectively conclude that they have not upgraded the PG position in a major way.
