Would mavs promise starting position to barry? If not, and cannot sign cassell, then go get him. Is this Justin Williams still out there?

I wait 2 weeks and ONLY IF all other options are exausted, would I sign him.

I don't think it makes much sense to wait. IF he is going to help this year he needs to be in the fold ASAP!

I think the goal for some of us is to lessen the minutes that JET plays, but with Kidd's ability to cover SG's it lessens the liabilities that JET presents. I would still like to have some insurance to Stack being the primary backup SG (Jones does not qualify IMO) so I am on board with Barry or GG. I would not be opposed to Murray or Cassell but they do not complement our current ROTATION players as well as GG/BB

He's a normal sized SG that can hit the three, play better defense than Terry, and fits Kidd's "system" -- a guy that would come off screens and knock down shots.

Sounds like someone who might be able to supplant either Eddie Jones, Juwan Howard, or Malik Allen from our playoff roster.

It's sad no one even tries to reach out to us! Think of all the big names, only one - Magloire agreed to come here as a FA after being bought out. Now think of all the names that didn't:

K. Thomas
D. Stoudamire
G. Giricek
B. Barry
T. Ratliff
S. Cassell
PJ Brown

There must be a reason, is it Cuban, is it the fact the players know we are cursed or something? Dale Davis should be next of players to spurn us.
