Someone reserved a domain, put up a picture and a few words. They need to get on the stick and get their site together pronto!

OK, I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought that Kidd sitting out down the stretch was really strange.

I know Avery has a certain comfort level, and prefers his shooters in crunchtime, but really, you're going to bench Jason Kidd?!

The 'lil General is a very good coach, but that was a dumb call, probably based on insecurities with a new PG in the system. Very soon, Avery will have to let go of the reins (I think that was the message behind the Kidd trade).

IMO, the ideal late-game lineup would be shuffled in and out for each defensive and offensive possession.

Offense: Kidd, Terry, Stackhouse, Howard, Nowitzki, or sub Terry/Stackhouse for Bass
Defense: Kidd, George, Howard, Nowtzki, Dampier

I didn't understand the decision either. It was like Avery's decision to go small against the Warriors, just plain stupid.

I hope Avery is a better coach than this and a little smarter than the "we wanted our shooters out there" statement. Unless I forgot Damp must be hitting 17 foot jump shots without my knowledge or that was his twin brother out there that does?

........ You do realize that Dampier was in there for exactly what he did right? Offensive rebounding. We had two shots to tie the game at the end, and it was because Dampier was in there to tap the ball out.

It was a bad decision that required criticism, but Avery is a good coach and you're not going to find an upgrade cheap or easily. There probably isn't even a better coach that's readily available.

I would hope the owner would do something funny with it, like wave files or links to funny things that avery says. OR video of the time he fell down.

The site is already gaining steam. From the Star Telegram:

As it is, some enterprising computer geek kicked off a new Web site Friday: www.fireavery.com.

That's a little premature, but let the Mavs get bounced in the first round again, and who knows?

Yes I do so if you leave Damp in to do his "job" which is to jam up the middle. Why would you take Kidd out and not let him do his instead of watching Terry get his ass handed to him by Bowen?

What I find interesting is that it only took one crazy decision with Kidd and everyone went apesheet and anted Avery fired all of a sudden... but what's weird about this is that Avery has been doing crazy stupid stuff like that from DAY ONE of coaching Dirk.. I mean.. benching Kidd is child's play to the crazy stuff he has done with Dirk to screw Dirk up.

The kidd move is the last straw. Avery has long had a parcell streak that he is responsible for the wins and the players are responsible for losses.

I think it's official that Avery has lost the team.. It's sad because the home wins will probably keep Avery around.. but the road losses are very telling to me.

I'm already on the point that I'd prefer a early first round exit that gets avery fired than a nice playoff run to the WCF with avery keeping the job next season.
it's really sad, but avery lost me just like he lost his team (or at least integral parts of the team)
it looks that this team has only one year left after this year and it would be interesting to see what another coach could do with these players (dirk especially)

it would be nice to see a coach who'd give our players the freedom to play with reckless abandon... the type of coach who'd allow unlimited fastbreaks.. the type of coach who'd allow dirk to stop and pop 3 pointers again... the type who wouldnt "stunt" the growth of our players and let them play to their skills...

if you look at it, kidd and dirk will make a very good tandem as their skills would eventually let them "need" each other... kidd needs a recipient of those passes and dirk needs to receive those passes... as soon as avery realizes that its a match made in heaven, then that's the time we'll start tearing it up..
