Marion Questions Teammates' Desire

Post#1 » by arkuo » Sun Mar 2, 2008 6:53 am

per wiretap...

looks like he's frustrated at his team mates... who can blame the guy, he's used to winning games at phoenix...

anybody still up for a josh-marion swap in the offseason? im sure marion would welcome a deal to get him back to the west and a chance at a ring... at least better than miami's chance...

could marion opt out of his current contract and let the heat management do a S&T with him to dallas? is that move possible or even legal in the CBA?

I don't know but you can clearly see his defensive impact. I dobut Miami trades him for Josh but if they did obviously you have to take it. I think Marion would be an even better 3 point shooter with Dirk too.

Imagine how great of a small ball power forward Marion would be with Dirk too. He would have gotten 15 rebounds a game the way they gang boxed Dirk out in the Warriors series. And imagine Kidd passing to Marion on the break..

I think Cuban has drank too much of his own Josh Howard koolaid though. And Dirk is so loyal.. I can't see them moving Josh unfortunately.

I would do that for Marion, but I think he'll be pretty happy when Miami gets Beasley and the wins go up

Since we can't go back and reverse the Kidd/Harris trade, I think a Howard/Marion trade is crucial if this team has ANY chance at winning a title in the Kidd/Dirk era!

if cubes would pull the trigger on that swap, that means he's pretty much ready to put everything on the line and win now.... which i think would be logical since dirk and kidd arent exactly getting younger...

think about it, marion has the lateral quickness to run and even guard most point guards and shooting guards and he has the height and jumping ability to rebound and defend big guys... marion would be our big guard stopper... he would be good defensively against kobe, manu and other big guards who torch us when we play single coverage with terry on them....

in the 3 losses since kidd arrived, we got burned by chris paul, kobe and manu ginobili... all those players could have had limited productions if only we had a big guard stopper... josh clearly couldnt do that, and his recent offensive slump just makes him a step closer to being useless on court...

^^ no thanks, im sure a lot of mav fans here prefer having marion over shaq at this point in time.. marion would fit the team better than the 300 pound shaq... hopefully, he'd work well with phoenix though...

I agree...I don't see this team winning it all. There is something missing but I can't put my finger on it. I think it is athleticism and some inside scoring.
Marion would certainly address one of those issues.

maroin would address one of those issues, IF NOT BOTH...

we all know he's at his best when he plays above the rim...

by the way, did kidd and marion play together before in phoenix?

thinking bout it, a wade-josh combo would be like a jordan-pippen one... just not as successful as the 1st two....

So Marion wants to leave a winning team for a losing one and is surprised at the loser mentality? LOL ok

I thought the ss_maverick was a sinking ship with Avery as its captain
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...
