I won't be online until long after the game is over with so I thought I would get a head start on this thread...

Oh yeah, anyone who says the POG is Wade gets whistled for a 3-shot foul on a made layup!

Brandon Bass

See, I'm leanin' more towards HMFFL's thought. Bass jus' was unstoppable and was everywhere. He didn't quit. Dirk is Dirk and he's gonna hit his shots. Let's face it, when Dirk missed two free throws back to back I just felt that was so unDirk-like. On the other hand, Bass for some reason never made it to the free throw line. I don't know what to tell ya.

Lue. He's been here ... what ... less than a week? ... and he can already run the offense for 21 minutes with 4 assists and no turnovers? I mean, it was Miami and all, but still.

Nice pickup this late in the season for nothing.

Maverick fans will eventually turn on Lue if he stays another year. On the other hand the Western Conference is most likely a better fit for him. I just feel he's running on confidence and happiness right now. Also needs to prove he can be productive if he wants to continue to play at this level.

I had to deal with him for many years with the Hawks and I have see both the good/bad. I'm not trying to be negative at all, I just know how he can be, and it's just good that we don't have to rely on him as a main piece to our team.

Yeah but because Dirk is Dirk he shouldn't be overlooked for a nice night. The guy outscored the Heat singlehandely in the first. (14-12)

Fair enough. I just think that to pick up a veteran guy like him in time for a playoff run, for nothing but a little money, and he's no more than about the 9th man on the team, well, that's a pretty good piece of luck. If he was the biggest thing we did during an off-season, that would be pretty depressing. But under the circumstances, I'm pretty happy to have picked him up.

Dirk for sure, I just wish he could have done that against Dwyane Wade and then we could have seen the press ask Wade about Dirk after the game... That would have been great.

Well, I think the player of the game should actually be a coach. Riley for tanking or Avery for spreading the minutes and not playing anyone over 27 min.

I was thinking of Dirk because he is the only one that put up really productive stats without turning the ball over (Bass avg 1 TO every 8 min), but I kinda wanted to save Dirk for a win against a playoff team.
