Who do you want to face in the 1st Round?

Post#1 » by arkuo » Wed Mar 19, 2008 4:12 am

well, with a handful of games left and with the way things are going, it doesnt look like were gonna have homecourt advantage... that being said, who do you want to meet in the 1st round? spurs? lakers? houston? new orleans? or even phoenix, if they break through the top 4....

im gonna have to go with houston here... there's no way they could beat any western conference in in a 7 GAME SERIES without yao... they could get lucky winning 20+ straight regular season games, but there gonna hit a wall in the playoffs without their legit all-star big man... kinda like what happened to dallas last year.. winning 67 regular season games but losing in the 1st round.. if you ask me, i say houston is the weakest in that list.... without yao, of course...

I would say Houston and the Hornets. Hornets don't have as much experience playing together in the playoffs as you would want from a top 2 or 3 seed. But then again, remember the warriors

I think we lose against the Lakers, Spurs, Suns & Utah. Houston is not going to last up top. They will fall back to 5th-8th spot, but Id love to face them. New Orleans would be my first choice of the teams that have a chance to finish in the top 4.

But Im not even confident we can beat them. As of now, I see a 1st round exit, unfortunately.

Yeah until we can get an identity I don't see us having much success this year. Next year should be fun though

If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

I wish I thought it mattered who we face. I think we lose any 7 game series in the West on the road, and I don't see us getting a top 4 seed this year.

Daddy is feeling sad about his Mavs right now :(

Kind of looks like we need a new coach and that will fix it all but Cubes won't do that till the off season. Adelman would have been a good one to get but he's in HOU now. Avery doesn't have any understanding of the big man game. His keeping Damp on the bench in the 4th proves what an idiot he really is. Surely he sees that he is digging his own grave when he pulls **** like that.

We need Bald Van Gundy to coach us! Avery is losing the team. He will have control issues with JKidd if he hasn't already. Avery has more likelihood to get fired due to JKidd than Byron Scott ever did with two finals appearances... Last night did nothing but pour gasoline on the fireavery.com campaign... Just wait until this week is over to completely judge the man in his games against Boston and a slumping San Antone... The true Avery will rear his head one way or another...

And what if we do become the sleeper team to beat one of those two? Hell, even both of them. We would still be 2-6 against + .500 teams aon on pace to lose any 7 games series we face.

Would we get homecourt if we were the 5 seed and Utah was 4 but we had a better record than them?

I still want to face Houston... Even with how well they are playing, I just dont believe that they can honestly outplay us in a playoff series... Even though I dont like the Mavs chances against anybody
