This is a huge game.

As a Lakers fan, im not a big fan of both.

I hope it will be a good game. I like TP, i like Dirk more now, and Kidd of course.

I am not either, as a Laker fan.

However, I want Dallas to win because I made a $ 100 bet on Dallas to win

Very sorry to see Dirk get hurt.

Hopefully it will be "the normal" for him - where it looks bad, but it turns out he misses only a game or so. He's been extremely durable and comes back quick, so here's to hoping this one will be the same way.

On transition defense, he landed awkwardly. I actually couldn't look at the replay when I saw him in pain on the floor (having blown out my knee myself), so I'm not really sure.

But the announcing crew thought it was either a knee or an ankle (seemed pretty obvious it would be one or the other). It was clear it was something with his left leg though.

Again, I've seen him in this kind of pain before and its usually an ankle. He was helped off the court without putting any weight on it. They reported he tried to put some weight on it back in the tunnel and said that was a no-go.

well, if Dirk is out any significant time, it looks like we'll add "Best Team In History Not To Make The Playoffs" title to our mantle of shame which inludes "Biggest Upset In Playoff History" and "Blew 2.75 Game Finals Lead".

this blows hard.

I have not heard any word on expected time to miss. And my guess is that won't be known for at least a few hours if not days.

They did just say x-rays were taken and no results announced yet.

They also said its an "ankle and leg injury".

Keep fingers crossed though - I've seen him look doomed to miss the rest of the season, and yet he starts the next game. So, with his history of being incredible resilient, there's hope it will be something along those lines.
