Third time I have seen Devin Harris play a full game for the Nets and am VERY impressed with every facet of his game. I don't know who was responsible for conjuring up this deal but this set your franchise back years. This kid is a franchise PG ++ you throw in two first round picks for an aging Kidd? Terrible--I'm not trying to break stones--just telling the truth--AWFUL Absurd move.

Now lets not make it too easy for the New York fans. You know howe the New York media only hypes up what is directly in front of them and ignores what is not quite obvious and/or in the West!

get back to me when Harris does this consistently.
And why weren't you here for his 5-13 games, or the games where he shot 1-22 from 3 point land during their west coast trip? I love Harris, but don't come in here pretending to know anything about our team and rub things in our faces, especially when we're already down with injuries.

The Harris trade is probably the worst trade in the NBA this year.
The way it looks now, even Memphis got a better deal than Cuban did.

Yes it looks like a bad trade, but some people make it seem like the Mavs were winning a championship with Harris. Let me remind you, this was the same team that lost to GS and Mia in consecutive playoff embarassments. To me, that signifies a problem.
Yes, it looks like we were better off with Harris, but honestly, I would be happy if this offseason meant major changes b/c this team has needed that since they failed in the postseason twice in historical ways.

But don't let that get in the way of other people coming here to spell DOOM for us.

Maybe they wouldn't have won a championship anyway. But they would have had a young PG to continue to develop. And they would have had draft picks to use in trades for an actual upgrade.
Becoming the Knicks of the South didn't really help anything.

Harris wasn't the only Net to play bad during a west coast trip that came 2 games into him -just- joining the team. Now that he has had time to get used to his teammates and them getting used to him, he's been playing very well lately and is becoming a solid play maker and scorer for us.

BTW, Harris was one of my favorite players here, 2nd favorite actually and I love nothing more than to see him succeed. I just don't like people who have watched maybe 2 Mav games this season coming here spelling DOOM for us, we know the results of the trade...most of us watch every game.

Go to 82games and check what Harris and Kidd have done with their respective teams. It's interesting.
Regardless, I think we all figured Harris would put up better numbers in Jersey than he did here in Dallas. I don't really care about that, because it was expected.
I care about how Kidd's fitting in with this team, or, rather, how the team's fitting in with him. I may have naively thought the coaching staff and players around him could actually, I don't know, ADAPT some to him. That seems to be a fantasy at this point.
The more Harris thrives, and the more Kidd fails (or the team fails with him), the more inclined I am to point to management as the problem with this team (from Avery on up). Of course, the players aren't helping anything, either.

Yes, they are. The Knicks of a few years ago, but their fate is the same.
