T Mac for Dirk?

Post#1 » by wadero » Mon Apr 21, 2008 2:56 pm

Would you do this trade? It works in Trade checker. I think a change would be good for both!!!

That is an awful trade. Mavs trade a franchise player who can give you 70-something games every year for a guy who can give you 50-something? Plus, the Mavs dont need another SF.

Neither team gets significantly better. Basically you are just swapping names.

I agree with dfp, now if I can get some Cool Mint Listerine to wash the vomit that I just threw up in my mouth I'll be fine ...
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

No thank you. Tracy is more injury prone and doesn't provide us nearly the amount Dirk can. I respect Tracy and his game, but it's just a bad trade for Dallas, and one that I don't see working out.

(I'm half joking. Tmac back in the day was an amazing player. But that was back.in.the.day)

Even back in the day I wouldnt do that trade, I think we can all agree that a good PF is harder to come by than a good SF.

Rockets fan here...

I would love to this trade from mour perspective but can see how you guys would not do it.

Even though T-Mac has improved as a playmaker over the last 3 seasons, his ability to score the ball efficiently has plummeted. He also is a lousy free throw shooter and has a bit of a questionable attitude.

That's a refreshingly honest assessment, Mr. Savage. Kudos.

T-Mac's value to the Rockets far outpaces his value to other teams. That's part of the reason I feel HOU should build around him instead of Yao, as scary as that sounds.

FG%.....Dirk by 6%
FT%......Dirk by 19%
3pt%.....Dirk by 7%
PPG......Dirk by 2
RPG......Dirk by 3.5
APG......TMac by 2.4
SPG......TMac by 0.3
BPG......Dirk by 0.5
GPS......Dirk by 11 (games per season)

The OP should be banned!

Counter offer Jason Terry + Jerry Stackhouse for TMac...it works on the trade checker too!

I don't want the second round virgin on this team... Send him elsewhere...

I dont think this would help any team besides the rest of the west. Houston has built a nice little core at the PF position with Scola, Laundry and Chuck Hayes. They dont need yet another PF, not for the pricetag Dirk is demanding atleast.
I really like TMac and would love to have him on the Mavs. My best offer would be Josh, Jet and 2011 (lol) First.

Poor Dirk maybe next year the Mavs will play TMAC in the first round. Then we can see who the biggest choke is.
