Mark Cuban loves his team and the players that are on it, but from the outside it seems he is living and dying with them on a nitely basis.
Dallas fans are frustrated because they cant seem to find a team identity beyond Dirk and an occasional appearance from Jason Terry. Literally the rest of the entire team is not stepping up to take this franchise to the next level.
It does make you wonder
A. Cuban runs successful companies and what will he do with the Mavs if success begins to fail. Watching failure as something grows is one thing, but to watch something that is just becoming not fun is another.
B. Avery was the little General.. What happened? he almost seems like dead man walking on the sidelines...
C. Jason Kidd historically his numbers are incredible, but if you ever have been a fan of the team he is on. Not sure he really makes them any better than an average point guard. Devin Harris would give this team everything that Kidd has.
D. Josh Howard wow.. After admitting pot use does he not look like he is playing stoned? Ever played park ball at midnite or later? Youd know what I mean. The only thing missing is a thermal t-shirt under his uniform...
E. Dampier like I could say anything that hasnt been said or had to be lived with for the last 4 years.
F. Dirk is the consumate pro, but he got himself stuck in a mans world where you man up or look punked. I like many blame his teammates for letting him look this way. In hockey someone punk your star there will be fighting from one end of the court to the other. Think anyone ever poked the GreatOne in the face and played the rest of the game without getting beat the hell out of..
G. Dallas Fans youll always have half that only love the Mavs when there good, and they are really just Cowboy fans 24-7.
The rest are diehard fans but you gotta believe Chris Paul is making them feel a long long ways from the days of prosperity, but is it not the actions of their own MAV players that is making this playoff series so hard to digest.
