Leave the Mavericks for the team known as the "loveable losing Cubs"? Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Baseball fans would not respect Cuban at all if he just ditched the Mavericks to invest in another sports team. People would see him as an owner just out to make money and not as a real fan of the game or team. If he ditched the Mavericks, who is to say he wouldn't ditch the Cubs at some point? That's not the kind of business move you want to make. Also I don't see the Cubs making a run like the Chicago writers want to make it seem.
Anyway none of this sounds like Cuban at all and it's just random speculation from writers that have nothing better to do than spread rumors, misconceptions and opinions that are generally way off the mark.
