We know diop has considered coming back to the mavs next season. If we gave him the full MLE would we have a good chance at resigning diop the chop?

We know ron artest can opt out next year if we can use "the rick carliyle is coaching card" can we get him to opt out and sign with us?

If we send one premium blend Stackhouse one sushi Howard and a tip/first round 2008-2009 pick(can't trade until after the draft) to the pacers for JO? The pacers have already expressed interest in picks.With a already good player (that they need in their soft front line) an expiring that can score and a first round pick should indy pull the trigger on the trade?.

none of that is realistic other then a small outside chance indy does the JO for howard/stack trade

i dont even know if artest likes carlisle so that may be a negative, plus its illegal and knowing the mavs luck we'd get caught trying to tell him to opt out and we'd get in deep sh*t

Why do you keep maying trades of Juwan + Eddie for players that make well over $10 mil? You do realize that we have to be withing 25% + $100K, right? Juwan, who is an unrestricted free agent without bir rights anyways, + Eddie Jones was about $2.5 mil last year. Marion is set to make $17,810,000 this next year.

As far as JO, if he comes to Dallas, it will be under the impression that he is the offensive center and play some on the defensive end (kinda like an old version of Chandler/West). If he does that, Dampier is on his way out along with Stack or Howard. IMO, Dampier + Howard is too much and Dampier & Stack is too little....so who knows.

Maybe Bass + Stack + Dampier then sign Diop with the MLE.

Artest said that he didn't like playing for Carlisle. There's no way he opts out to sign here for a smaller contract.
