NBA Draft Lottery

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Tue May 20, 2008 5:08 pm

Who do you want to win the NBA draft lottery? As of right now I hope Seattle wins it.

I hope Memphis falls because the last thing we need is for them to win it and draft Michael Beasley or Derrick Rose. The Southwest is already strong enough.

Assuming we arent worried about who gets the top pick in terms of trading / rebuilding so who would be good trade partners, I would like Miami & New York to be the top two picks. The West doesnt need to have teams like Seattle, Memphis or Minnesota get a top pick to add a player next to Al Jefferson, Kevin Durant or Rudy Gay.

Actually even with that, Miami getting #1 and NY getting #2, we could pull something off like....

MIA Gets: Dirk + Terry
MIA Gives: Marion + Blount + #1

NY Gets: Marion + Howard
NY Gives: Marbury + Que-Rich + #2

DAL Gets: Marbury + Que-Rich + Blount + #1 + #2
DAL Gives: Dirk + Howard + Terry

New York probably doesnt do the trade unless they get a pick #3-#5, as getting a top two pick, they might actually perfer to keep the pick. So maybe having NY get the #3 would be better for rebuilding.

I'm rooting for Seattle and Minnesota. I know they're in the west, but I can't stand Miami and New York.

Yeah, I really don't care, but hopefully Stern rig's Miami's intentional tank punishment like he did Boston's last year.

Top 2 going east

1) Chicago
2) Miami

Mayo & Bayless going to Seattle & Minnesota? I think trades may be brewing for those two teams as Durant, Green & Foye are already there.

Chicago will be making tons of moves with the plethera of 4's they have on their roster...
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

Return to Dallas Mavericks
