What About Fin?

Michael Finley will be an UFA this year and San Antonio has stated they won't re-sign him...
* The Spurs would be willing to let unrestricted veteran free agents Michael Finley, Robert Horry, and Damon Stoudamire walk for nothing if it meant landing Artest. Even without Artest, Finley and Stoudamire aren’t likely to return, as the Spurs’ will focus on getting younger.
Fin might play for very little, ya never know...

I was really big on letting finley go back when we did, but I think he has really grown into his role and I would love for him to come back to Dallas to finish his career. He would only get 10-15 minutes a game here tops but atleast we would have another high percentages shooter coming off the bench.

exactly what I was thinking. An experienced, crunch time, wiley veteran that the fans still love and adore. It would be a smart move.

I don't know how bitter Finley is towards Cuban for cutting him, but he should be happy because he got a ring with San Antonio.

Fin would get the hero's welcome here if he returned. His leadership has been missed...

Finley? Really? All he does is hang out at the perimeter now. Arent we old enough as it is? I would offer the vet minimum, but do you really think he'd sign for that? Plus, I bet he stays in San Antonio.

Agreed. 93% of Finley's shots last year were jump shots. I thought we were sick of washed up players and tons of jumpers.

Agree with Rand10 and DFP...no need for fin when we already have 2 or three of the same player.

Difference between Finley and Jones. Finley makes his shots.

Sure, why not? Let's bring Gary Trent and Dennis Scott back too. Low post and perimeter problems solved.

We have to have someone to shoot some bricks once we trade Stack and Jones.
Oh, wait, we have Wright and George to do that. Why do we need Finley again?
