I can't get it. No center at all? Besides Diop, what have they done?
Alonzo Mourning? Patrick O'Bryant? Nick Fazekas? Justin Williams?

Aaron Miles looks sound as a third-string PG. He's a great defender and solid distributor.

Reyshawn's Season stats with his Greek club:

http://www.galanissportsdata.com/basket ... o.asp?t=03
Not really promising, but its tough to go somewhere far abroad and produce right away. Im glad he did it though. And Aris BC seems to be a good club, they finished top free in their league, and he had surely a tough time fighting for playing time.

This guy was beasting for Aris:

Pops' stats with Benetton Treviso (top club):
http://www.benettonbasket.it/roster2k6.php?p=57
Thats impressive, averaging 8.3 points and 9.2 rebounds, shooting 59% from the floor and 77% from the free throw line in the tough Italian league.

Idk about Renaldas Seibutis with Olympiacos (top club)

Almost no playing time. The competition is too tough there, he's the back-backup of Arvydas Macijauskas, this guy is a star there, so no surprise.

Cuban said the Mavericks ended up getting three players they had targeted with the 51st pick. It was a little like the 2003 draft that produced Marquis Daniels as an undrafted free agent.

He said it is telling that teams were trying to sell a lot of second-round picks.

"Why were they offering? They're not stupid," Cuban said. "It was a deep draft going in. Then, there were a lot of name players that fell. We thought there might be five guys that we'd trade up for. A couple went and then Shan fell to us. Another one we were looking at [Tennessee's] JaJuan Smith [didn't get drafted and] is coming into camp. Reggie Williams [Virginia Military] is another.

"We always look for the blur of the draft. JaJuan was the fastest guy, the best defender of the point, and Shan was the best shooter."

Asked why Foster lasted until No. 51, Cuban said: "We were lucky. He didn't work out for a lot of teams, and he had some back issues that I think kept him from getting picked higher.

As a Vols and SEC fan, JaJuan and can shoot the three....but he can also shot you out of the gym. The whole vols offense revolved around the three and there were some games he couldn't miss, others couldn't hit at all. He is the type of guy that would play better with a good point. UT had nothing resembling a PG this year, so maybe he could be nice pick up.

Foster has some range too. Many talk about him being a great shooter, but I think his range will be a bit different in the pros. He will have to work in the NBA three, but he had a nice midrange to long range( just inside the three)game. I am actually surprised he dropped this far.

More than likely thou, most of these guys may not turn out to help us this year.

I followed last years summer league team closely and I still believe that if Pop's could shoot free throws as well as Brandon Bass that he would have been the one to make last years team. I watched all the games available and also went to see them play the Chinese National team with Yi Jinlian (sp?). Pops was an absolute monster in that game. Pops is a better defender and is more athletic. His proplem is that he plays a style of offense that get him fouled a lot and he does not make his free throws. There is no doubt that Pops is a better defender than Bass and Bass is not bad at all.

So with all the roster spots we have to fill I am rooting for Pops to make this years team.

I would like to see:
Reyshawn Terry
Renaldas Siebutis
Shan Foster
Pops Mensa-Bonsu

all make the 15 man roster.

Personally I would get rid of J.J. Barea. Give a Siebutis a shot instead at 3rd PG.
