Why are we not interested in Tony Allen?

He's a shut down defender, and he's athletic. I would say let's get her done. We need a shutdown defender and he's be a solid backup 2, and he's young enough to even start and develop into a much better player.

Wow, a Dentor sighting...
Don't be overwhelmed by the flashy lights known as a Championship ring. This guy is above average and will want more money than he's worth. He's a wait until the whole thing dies down and values start to plummet before going after him...

Yeah, would be a good signing. But do we have enough money left after we signed Diop? Probably not.

I have always thought he was undervalued. He's a great defender, he's athletic, and he is young. I wasn't saying to break the bank for him, but at least show some interest. I'd take him over Matt Barnes, Pietrus, and some of the other names being floated around.

Because it would be a good signing.

We have enough competition for the starting 2 position. I will take my chances with either Foster, Wright (resigned), R. Terry, Seibutis, JaJuan Smith, Reggie Williams, James Singleton, D. George, and Howard to fill out our 2 and 3 positions. We need to spend our money on the center and bck up point.

Tyronn Lue is cheaper and just as efficient IMO... Just because you play on Boston, doesnt mean you are good.

Can you honestly say that you've seen him play?
He's better than most of the guys Junkie named too. He does one thing better than all of those guys, and that's defend. I'm starting to feel crazy because dfn is the only one who agrees with me.

I miss Dentor, aka Mavsfanindenton.
My 7 year old son tells me that Tony Allen has something, and my kid aint wrong. Frigging B-ball encyclopedia.

Gerald Green signing means we will probably have no interest in Tony Allen. However I do think he is a decent player and had we signed him instead of Green I would have been happy with that start to the off-season.
