Rome on Shan Foster

Post#1 » by from_ro_to_dirk » Tue Jul 1, 2008 8:47 pm

I was watchign Rome Is Burning and he went off on his love for Shan Foster. some quotes:

'the dallas mavericks stole the SEC player of the year..."

"a guy who routinely hits 30 foot NBA style three-bombs. a guy who can shoot, defend, lead and most importantly can't wait to play in the NBA."

they then showed his singing video that they showed on draft night. he went on to talk about how awesome and incredible he is and says that the kid seems sincere and appreciative and cant wait to see him play in the NBA

"this guy is going to do great, he's going to kill it in Dallas with catch-and-shoots of Jason Kidd drives and Dirk Nowitzki double teams..."

i remember on draft night one of the talking heads said that they don't think he can hit NBA 3's. yet all i hear is that he's a great 3 point shooter. what gives?

The talking head who said he can't hit threes was an idiot and hadn't done his homework. I don't care if the 7 threes he hit in that game were the only ones he hit all season, the kid is clutch! HE shoots, he scores, he defends and finally he's a leader. What a bargain we got with Shan!
If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

I hope Rome is right. I dont listen to his show anymore after his man-love for Maurice Clarett a few years back.

Jay Bilas is the idiot who did not do his homework. He was the one spouting off about he is not sure if Foster can shoot from 3 pt range. Anyone who watched his youtube videos can see that he has incredible range. Doesn't mean he will be a great pro but it does show how Bilas talks out his butt when it comes to some players.
