It looks that way. We have so much salary invested in Kidd, Dirk, Damp, Howard, Terry, and Stack that we have very little left over to sign anyone decent. Kidd's salary is killing us.

YDM it didn't matter how much they paid Kidd, Dallas was over the cap prior to the trade and nothing short of a series of career ending injuries was going to change that situation.

The reason Dallas is scraping the bottom of the barrel is that they used all of their available assets this year on Gana Diop. That in and of itself would not have been the fatal blow, but they used the LLE (BAE) on Eddie Jones last year and do not have it this year. Had they used a portion of the MLE on Jones last year they would still have another +/- 2 million to use.

I'd take Barea over Dickau.

I'd most certainly take Jason Eugene Terry taking 48 - Kidd minutes at PG before I would even waste a roster spot on Dickau.
