Wow!!! Very creative man i like how you think...I would go WILD if this happened...
Unfortunately, I just don't see a big move like this happening i don't see NJ wanting
to take on Howards contract right now with them having Lebron in mind . I thoroughly
like your idea though!!! If this comes true i will personally come to your house and
congradulate you.

That trade does fill the two major needs for the mavs. They then need a back up PF and pray that barea or Lue can be the back up pg,

The more I am looking at this the more I like it

Kidd/Lue/Barea
Carter/Wright/Foster
Artest/George/Green
Dirk/Allen/George
Damp/Diop/Allen

That is a really old team, and Artest may be a rent-a-player. Mavs have nearly no window after this type of trade, but I would take a good shot over the mediocrity in place now. I guess stackhouse could be traded for a Joe Smith/PJ Brown type. I question what Terry's role is in Sac. And Didnt NJ just get rid of their SF who plays like Howard? Oh well.

Kings are going for cap space in 2010. Terry's contract runs 'til 2012.

Kings get too much talent and salary.

Switch Terry to Stack and it's better for both teams.

This is basically Stack + Bass for Artest (which I said I would do) and Howard for Carter (which I would not do, but I guess I would in this 3 way)

But Terry + Bass + Howard is way too much for an expiring headcase going to NY next year and a 30 something annual injury that can't play defense and is owed a ton of money for way too long.

What is a given is that he will always want and publicly say he rather be somnewhere else....as long as he is not in NY.

The dude really should be on some medication and hire a nurse just to make sure he takes it.

If it's not a physical problem, then he is dumber than Rubien Patterson.

we all know that he is insane.
but he is also one of the few difference-makers around that can be had for cheap. so he is worth a look

Terry, Bass and Howard does not translate to cheap, especially since we are being strapped with Carter's "albatross" contract in the process. That is pretty damn expensive talent wise, and in the case of carter, cost + injury wise.

Edit: And please tell me how you qualify his "difference maker" abilities as a GOOD difference maker. Every "difference making" decision he has made has been detrimental.

look, when I said he could be had for cheap I definitely didnt mean howard terry and bass. I think that should be clear. there could be a chance to get artest for a young player and some expirings which we have in bass, jones, george..
that is cheap in my eyes for a player like artest.
as for the difference maker abilities: he would be our best defender without any doubt. he still can score 18-20 points a game which isnt all that bad (20.5 for artest, 20 for howard, both shot 45%, artest 38%from 3point land, howard 32%). so if he came that cheap, we could trade howard for a legit 2 and would have a hell of a team. also the perception of the mavs being a soft team would be changed. that, for me, is a difference maker.
standing pat with josh howard as our #2 option certainly isnt

edit: artest 3point % 38, not 39
