It looks that Smith and Woodson haven't been seeing eye to eye for a long time now, and Smith is now saying he doesn't want to play for him. They said he may just take the qualifying offer for one year and become a free agent next year, but you know they are likely going to trade him so they get something back for him. Also, with Camby, a former Defensive Player of They Year, being traded for basically nothing, I feel as if it would bring the price down to get Smith as well

Unfortuneately, we have nothing the Hawks would want and they won't give him away.

Denver was trading Camby to clear salary. Atlanta would want talent, and that would start with Howard from us. But they could get Artest or Odom for him and other players like these three. I'd love to have Smith on the team but he needs to be playing next to Howard, otherwise, as the team is currently constructed, I think we really lose out offensively, though we do gain defensively big time. Camby's trade would have no bearing on the Hawks.

Josh Smith will be a Hawk next season, but Josh Childress on the other hand may be a different story depending on the amount he's seeking, and Josh Childress would be a good option for Dallas.
