Dal/Chi

Since the Bulls took Derrick Rose with the first overall pick this last draft and Luol Deng has ongoing contract talks that seem to be going nowhere. This trade could help out both teams involved. There is a story about Deng that says if he can't get a long term deal in Chicago he will opt out next summer and become a free agent. This looks like the perfect chance for the mavs to jump in and get a great young player.

Dal Trades:
Josh Howard
Jerry Stackhouse

Chicago Trades:
Kirk Hinrich
Luol Deng
Filler in Cedric Simmons

Why this works:
-Chicago wants to get rid of Hinrich and his huge contract because of Rose
-Bulls get immediate cap relief with Stackhouse basically having an expiring contract and they do not lose Deng for nothing.
-Chicago doesn't want to give Luol the money he deserves because they don't think he is as valuable as he thinks.
-Howard will get a new scenery and maybe will return to his all star play
-Chicago has been offensively challenged the past few seasons so Howard will give them a better scorer.
-Mavs get a point guard to take over after JKidd retires/traded/signs else where
-Mavs get a young SF who is a better defender than Howard.

Bulls:
Rose/Curry
Hughes/Ben Gordon/Stackhouse
Howard/Nocioni/Sefolosha
Gooden/Thomas
Noah/Gray

Mavs:
Kidd/Hinrich/Barea
Terry/Wright//Jones
Deng/Green
Dirk/Bass
Diop/Damp

Howard for Deng is pretty unrealistic imo. No way we get Hinrich too.

yea there is no way that happens. plus the bulls are talking about moving hinrich to shooting guard if rose is ready when the season starts.

If this is not being discussed or even a rumor, then why would you propose this?

Lets trade Dirk for Lebron. What do you guys think? I hate all these "what if's" and "whoud you's". Give me something with substance and evidence behind it. Not something that came from the whims of an unrealistic fan.

I agree with all of the above posts.. Hinrich isnt going anywhere... If any guard off Chicago gets traded, it will be Gordon.

This isn't from no where. Deng says he will not go back to Chicago after this season so what would be the purpose of keeping him there if the franchise knows he won't be a part of the future. He turned down a 5 year 50 million dollar contract last year so he will be making more than Howard is set to make over the next 5 years. Hinrich will not be playing the 2 guard. Why the hell would the bulls do that? Atleast Gordon can create his own shot and led their team in scoring.

You can't tell me if Jason Kidd said at the end of this season he would leave the mavs since we didn't give him an extension that the mavs wouldn't look to move him.

If you want something that is a rumor then look on espn.com. That's where all the rumors will go, nothing on this site has any substance unless its from espn or sources from a local newspaper. This site is all made up of writers from web sites making up other stuff, then it goes to other sites and they label it as rumored.

I would do all your trades dtown, but like the iggy and dalembert for damp and terry (or who was it?) this one is also UNrealistic. no way they trade deng AND hinrich for howard

If the Mavericks were serious about shipping out Howard, then Artest is a better option than what Chicago would realistically give up, IMO.

howard for ron straight up? no.
I would be all for bass, a second rounder, stack and some other expiring for artest as you all know. then trade josh for a legit 2.

Has anyone thought of using Chicago as a third team in a deal for Artest? Chicago has pieces they might be willing to deal or at least get something.

It's worth looking into.

I'm not sure what we have that Chicago would want though...maybe Damp?

Maybe something where Damp and Hughes are the centerpieces.

Dal Chi Sac Trade...

I'm ready for whatever you have to say about this trade. I did it on the fly. Why? "Because, I believe I can fly... I believe I can touch the sky..." Space Jam, what a classic... Shawn Bradley's acting skills are so underrated...
