All-Time Mavericks
if you could select an All-Time Mavericks startng 5, (don't focus only on numbers but on "team-chemistry" as well), how would it look like?

Re: All-Time Mavericks
I'm not old enough to do all time, but here is what I would do
Dampier (yes, over Donaldson)
Nowitzki
Finley (in his younger days)
Harris
Kidd (1st time around Kidd)

C- Tarpley (barely edges Donaldson)
PF - Dirk (please. Perkins is a distant 2nd)
SF - Detlef Schrempf
SG - Rolando Blackman
PG - Derek Harper
Great offensive team, good defensive team. Give me those guys in their prime, no current team could beat them. NONE.

Re: All-Time Mavericks
Come on, guys! Give Harper some love! He's undoubtedly the best 2 way point guard that the Mavs have ever had. Billy said not to focus just on numbers, but on team chemistry issues. Harper ran a great fast break, too, and would kill you from 3pt range if you sagged off him. Kidd couldn't do that, and Nash couldn't play a lick of defense. All-around, Harper is the choice.

The all-time Bench team of the Mavs
Brad Davis
Dale Ellis
Detlef Schrempf
Jay Vincent
Gana Diop

If we could just close games with Luka, Kyrie, Green, Maxi, and Wood that'd be great...

I def agree, but i went w/ nash b/c other than dirk my line-up needed someone who could shoot the 3 to spread the floor for blackman and aguirre. Not that harper is bad at 3's, nash is just better. Nash's assist totals w/ this lineup would be off the charts also

Re: All-Time Mavericks
CENTER - Donaldson over Dampier. (to any Tarpley voters:
)
PF - Dirk over Perkins. (any votes for Randy White?)
SF - Aguirre over Mashburn. (Finley is a guard to me)
SG - Blackman over Finley. (Blackman was a lot better defender)
PG - Kidd over Nash. (For all the Nash hype, he's never won a title, but neither has Kidd. I still like Kidd's defense over Nash's offense though)
