I believe we are still paying Marquis Daniels and Rick Carlisle has experience with these players. I think it could be a realistic trade that would help us.

Welcome to the boards!

I suggest this to every new poster

-Propose trades that are fair to all teams involved, which I think you mostly have done here.
-Have strong opinions
- Make posts about basketball and not personal
- Have a great time

Kidd/Tinsley/JJB
Daniels/Terry/Stack
Granger/Green/RAT
Dirk/Bass
Diop/Foster

I do like this lineup. More versitle than the current one. Indy might want Bass also

Thanks. I read you guys' posts all the time so i thought I'd join.

I really like the lineup too. And, I think if they did want Bass we could get Williams from them as well. Damp is just inconsistent and Foster is the complete opposite. I think it would work out great especially with Granger becoming a star in his own right. We get rid of Howard who is an idiot and we get the smoooooth Quis back along with Tinsley, who the Pacers dont want any longer, for a backup to Kidd.
If only Donnie Nelson were this smart, but nooooo we have to sign Mcleod and Singleton.

i like the move for us, but i really don't think granger is going anywhere. trust me i'm pretty sure donnie would pull the trigger on this if he could. indy doesn't bite

It's a cool trade. Post it on the trade boards but add Bass and Williams as well.

Welcome to the Mavs family.

I don't see Indiana accepting this trade. They take on Eric's contract and give up some contracts that are soon to expire or ones they don't have to take on after the upcoming season.

That's what I was thinking...if we include Damp we will need to take back Murphy. However, if we included Bass and Stack and take back Murphy, that might have a chance.
Murphy would be a decent backup for Dirk even though he is vastly over paid.

I'm not crazy about Daniels being our starting SG though. The SG problem would still exist.

a very warm welcome to you sss
I like the trade but dont think that the pacers would like to deal granger, not even if the main man coming back is howard. but try to ask them on the indy board

It has the makings of a good deal, but we get too much of an upper-hand. We get three/four players which would contribute in our system, while they get arguable two. I'd rather not take Tinsley either, that'd leave us with Kidd/Tinsley, not going to work.

I'd rather do something revolving around Dunleavy(or Granger)/Foster/Marques for Dampier/Josh. If we got Granger, throw in Bass. If Dunleavy, no added players. But as said, Granger most likely isn't going to be moved, they seem to want to rebuild around TJ/Granger/Hibbert. If we could get Hibbert though, I'd be ecstatic. Howard/Dampier for Hibbert/Dunleavy or Hibbert/Marques/Foster.

Very unlikely that the pacers will try to trade granger. I don't think that Bird or Morway want to even think about sending granger away. The organization is looking to make a long term deal with granger making him the center piece of the franchise. But I would let you take tinsley in a heartbeat.

It's a nice deal for Dallas so long as you keep Bass. Daniels has been a ghost since he left the Mavericks.

On that note, I am pretty sure you guys have the most welcoming forum on RealGM.
