30 Teams In 30 Days: Dallas Mavericks

Post#1 » by Boston34Celtics » Tue Sep 30, 2008 5:44 am

Here we go, it's that time of year. Basically what I'm doing is making decent-sized team previews, one per day in alphabetical order. Today's featured team is your Dallas Mavericks.

Teaser:

Now that all of the additions and subtractions have been noted and/or discussed, let’s move on to the Maverick that received the most attention this past summer. You all know who I’m talking about: the one and only, Josh Howard, who thankfully informed us all that he does not have to acknowledge the national anthem on account of his skin color. In addition to that, the public relations expert in Howard announced his pleasure of marijuana use on ESPN Radio.

Combine those two shenanigans with his putrid end-of-season showing and suspend overall attitude, you’ve got a talented young player failing to get full use of his talent, and losing respect from the team’s fans.

But hey, who am I to judge? It’s not like he’s calling unavailable timeouts in the waning moments of an important postseason game or anything, right?

….. right?

Well, lets hope that is not your best work because the two players that recieved the most attention this summer is the Gold winning Jason Kidd and the olympic qualifying Dirk. Barea had another breakout interational off-season, but his team did not go that far.

Oh, wait....East coast media......wonder why they couldn't get it right.....always looking for dirt and claiming that is the main story. Always overlooking talent and anything good for dirt. Should be used to this kind of crap from the East coast by now, but somehow they still stay in buisness.

BTW that was a rhetorical question in case you could not figure that out also.

One other note for the troll....if that is a team preview you suck because that team preview was filled with events that occured last season and the season prior. Get off J-Ho's nutz.

And it is also just plain dumb to claim that Stackhouse is a key talent above Bass, Diop and Dampier.
