Do you think JJ is better than Mighty Mouse?

They're both 6-0, distributing pointguard who can score some. Damon is experienced. But JJ is younger. If you can pick up either, which one will you choose?

For some reason, I though Mighty Mouse was Eddie House? Guess I was wrong.

If you are talking Mavs 2008, then Barea is under contract and I'm completely fine with that. IF they were both FAs and both willing to be 3rd string PG knowing they will have very limited minutes, then I pick Damon.

I'm really talking about Damon Stoudamire, who's currently a free agent. His skillset is quite similar to Barea's. After the Pacers game, I realize JJ's not the guard to take primary backup. In my opinion, neither is JET. I am not sold on McLeod either.

But there's not much options here. The most interesting name is Damon and DA. At the end, I think we'd trade Barea for a pick and pick up a veteran PG.

Stoudamire is much more talented than Barea IMO

I think the argument misses the point. We dont need either.

We NEED to start thinking about the future at PG like we have at SF, etc. We really need to be looking for a young, athletic PG to backup and learn from Kidd. Barea is not the future for this team. That is why Im so down on him. Kidd will not be here more than 2-3 years (after extension and a much smaller price). Why not get the backup in now and let him learn???? Unless we plan to sign another FA PG...

I think the perfect young backup to Kidd would be Devin Harris.......dooh!

Unfortunately I agree... although JaJuan Smith looks pretty good and could potentially make the team. Id like to see him get some time to develop.

For a guy who's not big on Barea I would prefer JJ. Damon is to told and they are basically the same but JJ has something to try to prove, Damon is just trying to stick around and collect checks.

I walk to Portland, pick up Sergio and carry him back to Dallas.

It sounds like Jerry Stackhouse can make up for the weakness of Jason Terry.
Antoine Wright is a proven ball handler.

The lineup seems to be set:
Starter: Damp / Dirk / JoHo / Wright / Kidd
Bench: Diop / Bass / Green / Stack / JET

The slowest group stay with Kidd and Dirk. They are looking to out-skill the opponent. Then, the bench comes in and out-althetic the opponent again. I think we're a fine borderline playoff team but centers' production would determine any deep playoff run. They've plenty rooms to improve.

Some Western teams are weakening tremendously, e.g. Suns, Nuggets, Clippers. It's not that difficult to make the playoff. To get past the first round is harder than last year.

But the road is harder than ever, Rockets, Lakers, Hornets are stronger than ever. Spurs'd be there even (without) Manu in my opinion. Jazz is unpredictable. Warriors and Blazers are on the rise.
