Re: Active 12-man Roster
I say that we should put Stack and George at 13 and 14. If we are going to improve, it will have to be through youth development. It basically looked like the same ole jumpshooting soft mavs team to me.
Let the young guys (Wright, Green, Williams, and Singleton) battle it out for the first part of the season. If they don't cut it, then bring Stack and George back into the rotation. At least they shouldn't be broken down by playoff time.
Are any of our players on the current 14-man roster eligible to play in the development league?

Nope, they have all been in the league 2 years (Green, Singleton, Bass, Williams, Barea) or more (everyone else).Teffer10 wrote:I say that we should put Stack and George at 13 and 14. Interesting philopohy with Stack & George. Also if the youth get minutes and not in our long term goals, it will help their trade value (with Stack & George as the fillers) for someone a little more experienced yet not over the hill.

Re: Active 12-man Roster
Gerald Green has proven his worth in Summer League and now again in the pre-season. He will definitely be part of the regular rotation. I would rather see us developing Green than giving more minutes to Stackhouse. Stack may still be a better overall player but Green is way more explosive. The guy is averaging a point a minute in preseason and shooting 58.6% in the process. If Green can work hard on the defensive end than he is much better to have out there over Stack.

Re: Active 12-man Roster
definitely would play George and Stack very little if not at all during the first of the season. We need to develop Wright Green and Singleton. Bass could develop as a backup at SF I doubt it but you never know. It will certainly make it interesting to see who steps up and who doesn't. Green and Wright deserve to be given the chance to earn the SG minutes. Terry is ok but his defense exposes our interior to picking up fouls so I would like to see him get most of his mins backing up Kidd.
